JFAutomotive Remap
Anyone had a remap from these guys? I'm considering it but want to be fully aware of the risks. They gave me a lot of information about how remapping shouldn't affect manufacturer warranty unless they can prove it directly caused an issue etc.
Also if anyone has had it done, I'd like to hear about the drivability. Im only looking at a 50hp and 70nm increase so not pushing to the limits |

It may not damage it ever but I guess the more power the more chance? Also I dont want it to be hard to live with on a day to day basis. Having said that, I'm not against the full map if it doesn't carry those risks or change the overall characteristics. I'll have a chat with them

But I'll still be on here from time to time Yes I had my 6er remapped from JF Automotive and the end results were around 360-380bhp & 750nm torque. Over the 11 months after the remap it was still perfectly reliable. It ran 316bhp and 625nm standard from memory so a nice increase but not too much to overly push the car to its limits. 0-60mph was from 5.1 secs down to 4.3 secs 0-100mph was 12.8 to 10 secs. 0-120mph was 18.5 down to 13.5 so some nice improvements. Let me know how u get on and who you use.

Sounds good. Their response to me so far has been good so I may go ahead and use them but will do some more research. I'm not desperate to remap it so can afford to wait to look at all options.

Hey Guys... Joined the forum whilst I was looking for a Remap company for my BMW 640D Gran Coupe and ended up going with DMS.
They pre and post dynode the car. Just waiting for the email with the prints as can remember the exact increase but it has massively changed the drive on the car. The car is a crazy machine out of the box but I just needed that little bit of madness and the remap has provided it. I had quotes from soooo many companies and they were all around £500-£600 (inc VAT) and DMS quoted £1200+VAT. I haggled them down to £900 in VAT and they did it same day (Today). So far the service is absolutely amazing and there were a few crazy cars there as well including a Ferrari 599GTO which gave me confidence that they must be doing well, Will post Dynos once received and from memory was around 392BHP. Why did I chose these despite being £300 more expensive...? Well mainly due to the fact that they assured me I would get a lifetime warranty on the MAP. Meaning if there is an engine fault they will come out to me and load the stock MAP to get rid of any worries about warranty claims. If BMW wipe the MAP after software upgrades then they'll come out and remap again with the latest MAP. Also Im in Bham and they've got an office in West Brom so there local. As I'm keeping the car long term I wanted someone I could go back to just incase and they gave me confidence they wouldn't hide away if something went wrong. Not to say that any of the other companies would as I'm sure there loads of good ones out there. |

A little late, but perchance you haven't pulled the trigger, I have used E-maps for years. They have an awesome reputation. Contact Simon via their website which is easy to find on google.
