19" vs 20" inch wheels on 640 GC
I just ordered a 640i GC for ED in February. I'm still thinking which wheels to get.
Any thoughts on advantages/disadvantages on the 351M 19" vs 373M 20"? are the 20s too rough of a ride? I'm also ordering adaptive drive Thanks in advance! |

I think a 20" wheel fills the wheel well better. The GC is a large car. |

I ordered the 20s. My car started production yesterday even though I was told by customer service a couple days ago that it was scheduled for production on week 2 of January! |

I ordered mine with the 19" but plan on removing them as soon I get home from the dealer and replacing them with 20" 464M style wheels that I purchased and had shipped to my home. Then I plan on selling my new 19" wheel set - anyone know what they should sell for?

Yes, I mean standard sidewall performance tires. PS2's, PSS's, etc |

I have an M6 with 19 inch rims. Very pleased with them. I prefer them as they help avoid pothole damage. I belive 19 inch have less unsprung weight as well. BUT either way get performance tires, not runflats.

Thanks Guys, I only wanted a manual tranny M6. It was kismet. I was ready to order a Singapore Grey with Sakir leather. The only manual tranny M6 in the U.S. had the exact options I wanted. Even badge delete. I got lucky. I had the rims painted gloss black though.
Coming from an V8 M3 I couldn't give up the V8 sound and power! |

20's all the way, 19's look way too small. I had 20s on my previous 640 GC M sport. I didnt think the ride was rough at all...And btw the 20's come with performance run flats not regular tires you would have to switch those after

I agree with LSM. I love my 20s. (Right now I have 18s on for my winter tires - looks are poor but traction is excellent!)
