M6 Akrapovic exhaust question for the owners
I'm very interested in getting the Akrapovic exhaust for my m6 coupe
Just have a few questions: 1) How long does it take to fully install the exhaust? 2) Does it sound a lot better? Is it a big difference? (Can't judge it by videos, videos doesn't catch the bass) 3) Would you call it the best exhaust available for m6? |

i got the akrapovic exhaust while my car has very low milage
to answer your questions: 1) left the car at the shop and picked it up the second day along with the oem exhaust. (to pick up the original exhaust you will definitely need a truck for its long and in one piece unlike the akrapovic) 2) if you truly mean "better" then absolutely YES ! way better, and the more it gets milage the "wilder" it gets, deeper drones! now my car has catless downpipes + the exhaust meister remote that opens the valves. one thing you have to keep in mind is that the akrapovic "loudness" is exactly as stock with 95db. Its made this way to stay legal in europe. its a work of art, stunningly built and its just a joy to look at and hear. According to my experience, the exhaust by itself has changed the noise, the catless downpipes makes the turbo spool very clear and easily noticed, and the exhaust meister remote opens makes the car sound deeper while idle and when in low rpm's 3) in my personal opinion the best two options are, Akrapovic and Supersprint. Supersprint exhaust is louder, more aggressive. But the Akrapovic is more of a Gentleman's exhaust, someone who truly appreciates his M-Power. |
