Hi everyone,
I have decided to get the M6 Gran Coupe but am having trouble deciding on a few options and need your help! I know it's a personal thing, but I just wanted to read what you all of you thought. Thanks in advance!
1. Wheels: 433M vs. 343M
2. Interior Trim: Carbon fiber vs. Poplar Grain Grey
3. Paint finish: Black Sapphire or Alpine White
3a. Why don't they have Carbon Black as an option for the M6???
4. Upholstery: Merino black but what's difference between leather and "full" leather.
4a. Is the dual stitching an option or standard?
Thanks everyone!

1) 433M For Gran coupe, 343 for coupe
2) Definitely carbon fiber for M cars
3) Pick Alpine White, less visible scratches + tinting windows, carbon fiber parts would give it a nice contrast
3a) I had a carbon black f01 750, I could see every single scratch on it, hated this color.
4) Dont get full leather unless you really care about having it all, not a huge difference but the cost is over $5500, think if you really want it for this price.
4a) I think it is, I got white on black in my Sakhir Orange m6 coupe

1) 433M wheels look slightly better on the M6 GC, but 343M are forged rather than cast. Depends if you want looks or a slightly stronger wheel.

2) Carbon Fibre suits the car well, any other trim is just a personal preference.

3) Black or White, personal preference, black looks good but is hard to keep that way and will get hot in the sun.

3a) You can have any colour you like, at a cost! There is one Carbon Black M6 GC in Holland/Netherlands.

4) Full leather gets rid of all 'plastic' surfaces on the dash, console and doors. The leather is also slightly softer. It's nice, but expensive.

4a) With the M multifunction seats and full leather you get white stitching on the seats, not sure about other leather seat combinations. You can specify whatever you want, at a cost!

There is no M6 Gran Coupe that has been built with the Dark Poplar trim, I don't know about other M6 styles (Coupe or Convertible) at the moment.

Sorry, I was wrong about the Dark Poplar trim, the option code is not with the other trim types!!

Actual stats are :

S4ASA EDELHOLZAUSF. PAPPEL MASER GRAU Fine-wood trim poplar grain grey 157 15 12 184

Numbers are LHD USA, LHD EUR, RHD and Total.

davussM6GC,
I agree, it's ALL personal opinion.

I personally prefer:
1. 343M wheels
2. I love my Carbon Fiber interior and everyone that sees it, especially when the sun shines on it says it is AWESOME!
3. I went with Alpine White, my wife seems to be the only one that told me she preferred black...but then again, it's not her car (her's is black sapphire)
4. Full leather is real stitched leather on the center console, doors, and dash board, my M6GC does not have that option, my wife's 740i does, I like the look, but don't like resting my arm on the stitching of the door and center console of the full leather stitching. (I don't think there is any other option other than double stitching with the full leather.)

Ok, so I'm gonna modify my options here:
1. Sapphire Black or Carbon Black (if available) or another dark color? The reason I am going dark is because unfortunately I have to be less conspicuous. You know, "stealth wealth"...
2. For some reason I like 343Ms better too (PackerFan!), and again I guess they are less conspicuous as well. However, if I choose this option, will they be the same sized tires?!? Are the M6 coupe and GC 343M wheels different from the M5 or the same? If I got 343s Would I be sacrificing some of the added performance I would have gotten with the 433Ms?
2a. I have been advised not to "water down" my M6 GC, so would the 343M be a step down since the 433M are exclusive only to the GC? 343M is still "M5/M6" exclusive, right? Again, per above if the performance is the same then I'll feel better
3. Ok, no full leather!
4. Starting to think the Poplar Grey trim will "water down" the M6, though technically it is an option. But just not sure about the Carbon Fibre. Maybe bc I have a carbon fibre guitar (check out blackbird guitars!) and see that finish everyday. This decision is going to kill me...

Thanks guys for your awesome feedback. This forum is making it really hard for me to wait for a new car!!! But if I'm waiting, then I want to make sure what I order is exactly what I want!

I am picking up my GC on Saturday went to sign the paper work and look at the car today. Excited about the car. If I ordered the car this is what I would do. I am picking a car that is closest to my specs since my lease is running out at the end of the month.

1. Pure Metal Silver Exterior
2. 433M Wheels
3. Opal White Full Merino Individual Leather (the contrast stitching is amazing)
4. Piano Black Trim

The current car has

1. Silverstone Exterior
2. 433M
2. Canyon Brown Full Merino Individual Interior (the contrast stitching is amazing)
4. Fineline wood trim.

I wanted the individual because of the contrast stitching. I have silver stitching on the black interior of my aston martin. It is a nice contrast and detail. It up's the quality of the interior.
