2013 extended warranty purchase options
My 2013's warranty will expire in October, any suggestions?
It is a daily driver, has 37k miles, no major issues (just replaced coolant lines under warranty). McKenna BMW quoted me the following: BMW platinum 6/70000 $5302 exp 10/12/2018 6/100000 $5940 7/70000 $6070 exp 10/12/2021 7/100000 $7380 Thoughts?

I think it depends on how long you plan on keeping it, how much you plan on driving it, do you want to mod it, and do you think you need it for resale value (see first point). Personally, I feel that's too much coin for some piece of mind and there are plenty of BMW horror stories of them not honoring warranty claims (although many dealers are very good about it). I'm out of warranty in August and I'm looking forward to a few mods then...

1. How long you plan on keeping it: 15 to 27 months (would like to do euro delivery fall of 2017 or 2018 on a new BMW)
2. How much you plan on driving it: Its my DD and I go 44-60 miles a day, so 14k a year. Currently at 37k 3. Do you want to mod it: Want yes, but the risk on a dd is to much so probably not, but dealer is dinan authorized so..... 4.. Do you think you need it for resale value: What do you think a loaded 2013 Convertible will be worth in Fall 2017 w/ 52k miles ($50k??) or Fall 2018 w/66k miles ($40k?) I believe that my dealer will do me okay, I have bought many used BMWs from other places and they always took care of me (plus I have purchased several new ones from said Dealer).

If you plan on keeping it 27 months and your dealer is trusted, I'd say maybe. It's still a bit too much for my taste, do you think a $140k car with less than 50k miles is going to have $6k in problems in the next 15-20 months? It shouldn't, imho...
Also, I don't honestly know if Dinan matches extended warranties or just the initial factory one. That could be a big factor I'd you do decide to mod.

It really is a gamble. That said, my 2004 Audi Allroad had 17k in repairs from 35-55,000 miles, including a new tranny.
