F10 KW V3 on an F06

hey fellas,

i searched and can't find it with short parameters like "kw" and "f10", but does anyone know what is lost when installing the v3s on an f06?

i see RG33 installed V2s, but i recall reading something about the driving modes being disabled. who's got first-hand info?

my 650 still feels like a boat compared to my old GS430 with coilovers

yes it will fit. if you have adjustable dampening you will lose that function and need the canceler modules/resistors to get rid of the error light.

I have the v2’s installed.

Note: the error light is just part of the problem. Without the module. You will not be able to shift the car out of comfort mode. I believe drmlee already stated that.
Also the wiring that comes with the module is very fragile. So if water or dirt gets into any of it. The system will stop working. And again you will not be able to shift out of comfort mode.
After driving in the rain. Mine stopped working. So I had my shop upgrade and re-solder all the wires. Haven’t had a problem since.

Good luck

+1
I have the KW Variant 3's installed in my 535i xDrive and have had exactly the same problems with the EDC feedback loop wires as Nice95gle, and the same fix worked for me as well.

thanks man...this is exactly what i was looking for. can't get out of comfort mode, does this mean that not only is the suspension obviously set , but you can't get the sport/sport+ engine settings at all?

Exactly. the system will think that something is wrong. So you’ll be stuck in comfort.
I would recommend finding a shop that’s use to doing this.
I see that you’re in Orange County. But not sure if that’s CA, NY or NJ
But I goto Auto Couture in fairlawn NJ. I use them for everything...even oil changes. These guys live and breathe BMWs

Sorry for late reply.
You gotta tag me next time since I rarely check this part of the forum.

But, yes, F10 and F06 shares the same coilover.

If you are in LA, feel free to hit me up, I do install too in house.
