Adaptive Cruise option

I've been looking at 2015/2016 650i xdrive gran coupes. I'm confused as to which cars have adaptive cruise control/ radar cruise. Basically 100% of cars have a button to the left of the steering wheel with an "i car symbol". I noticed only a handful of cars have 2 buttons on the steering wheel on the left side that look like distance forward and back for adaptive/radar cruise. What's the difference?

The i___(car) symbol is for forward collision warning, and the buttons on the steering wheel is adaptive cruise (+/- distance)

For what it is worth, when I was looking for my next 6 series, I was specifically looking for the adaptive cruise option. Given that many sites don't have very good option lists included, I found that those two buttons were the best way to see if the car had the option.

By the way, I am quite happy that I was able to find a CPO F13 with adaptive cruise. I use it most days during my 50 mile commute, most of which is on a tollway that regularly goes from 75+ mph to stop & go. It's been very nice to just set cruise at 75 and let the car do the rest other than steering.

Dealers do the same thing with the transmissions. All M6s are listed as manual, so you need to count the pedals to make sure it is a real manual. For finding ACC you need to look at the buttons on the steering wheel. You should also get friendly with the bmw vin checker websites. By entering the last few digits on one of these vin checker sites it will tell you every option the car was shipped with.
