BMW M6 F13 Individual Colours
I'm new to the forum, and after some help. Ive had loads of individual BMW's before but they've always been nearly new.
For the first time I'm actually buying a new one and I want it perfect. Ive got the spec - Every Extra except for Carbon Breaks and Competition pack plus the full Opal Merino Leather. I've sorted an amazing deal 32% of list + 15% of Extra's. I'm now just stuck on colour. Its got to be individual. And I've whittled it down to three colours. - Ruby Red II (Old M3 Colour) - Mora Metallic (A sort of Red purple) - Pure Blue I'm also open to any other crazy Individual suggestions as Ive been hunting through forums / Google looking for outstanding individual colours. And my final dilemma is due to the individual colour is 16 -20 weeks for delivery - Which is then only 3 months from MY2016 and probably a facelift......

Out of those 3.. the smurf wins.. If I was paying for indy then I would go for Estoril or Estoril 2, thats my all time favourite BMW colour.
Actually, I think the new yellow on the M4 would look good (a brave move maybe, but no more so than smurf) |

None of the frozen paints take your fancy? Ask your dealer to get you the Indy book which has a lot more colours in to pick from, or look at some exotic cars and find a colour. Battleship grey looks smart

Dakar Yellow would be unique in the UK, there is one M6 GC in Europe.
Ruby Red or Royal Red would be unique, and I think would suit the car quite well. |

Colours
Looked at the frozen stuff just looks like a needs a good polish Im quite liking royal red but it may be a shade to dark for me....
Due to the spec of the car they've pretty much said I can have any out of production colour I want and will only charge the standard £2k for individual paintwork.....Which is amazing as I was expecting a £5k bill! Ive had mora before and so I think Ive ruled that out....Its currently between smurf blue and Ruby red now..... Ive currently got an indionapolis blue E64 m6 conv , so had ruled out SAN merino blue........Currently a Dakar yellow 640d for sale....Its looks good but I think smurf blue would look better

Decided
Have decided I'm going BMW Individual Pure Blue. But had confirmed on Friday by park lane bmw that due to the colour I wont get it until week 2 December, which means I may as well wait till Jan 2nd to have a 2015 car.
My dilemma now is, do I wait and order in October for the MY2016 March car , which from what I've read will be LCI facelift and rumours of new lights and an all digital dash.....Or just go and order now as it wont be that different? There's only 3 months in it......... Very annoyingly they also confirmed that despite having an individual car, I cant order style 433m GC wheels from factory, Ive got to spend £4900 more and just end up with a spare set of M6 wheels!

Why would you want the GC 433M wheels? They are cast and a lot heavier (11.4Kg per set) then the 343Ms which are forged.

Personal choice I guess,to me they look 'heavy' and almost agricultural, as well as actually being heavy. Like something you might get on a Range Rover maybe.

I wouldn't go for the 433M. To me heavy cast wheels on a car that is already very heavy to begin with is a no go. Plus, why spend money on a OEM wheel, when there are costless OEM options? Better to save that money and get something more unique and tailor made to your car by one of the aforementioned manufacturers.

Be warned with the Opal White Merino- it looks stunning but it will last all of 5 minutes, perhaps not even that if your dealer doesn't prep it using white gloves!
As for colour, it's got to be a blue with that interior- BMW colours! I wouldn't bother with Individual and just go with San Marino, it has depth and colour change like an Individual colour. But then I'm biased

Pushed the button today
Finally pushed the button on "Pure blue" M6 convertible having found the only other car (435i) in Europe in "individual pure blue". Having viewed it today I went for it for an LCI M6 Convertible car which will arrive in April, all options including Bang stereo, only box's not ticked were carbon brakes and performance pack . Got £20k off and 0% finance.
Will be the only "pure blue" M6 in the world. Probably for good reason as not too many people will want smurf blue, but its an epic colour! In the meantime I last week bought a 2014 san merino blue one as an interim along with some 433m wheels. Car looks 1000% better with the 433m wheels.
