Found it. Mine was not under the carpet on the left side of the vehicle, repeat it was NOT under that carpet. I found the ASD module in my M6GC. It is on the "roof" of the trunk area, on the left side, under a black plastic cover. So if you open the trunk, get your head in there and look up under the rear package tray it is there.

I cannot get pictures to upload... but it is NOT under the left side carpet like the M5 and M6 Coupe.

Not sure why, but I tore that all apart and could not find it.

English? I feel like I just read an epic...

This will probably be my first mod, the moment I get my car delivered.

It was an epic journey...to disassemble the left side of the trunk area was not a "5 minute job"...it was like Jonah seeking out his White Whale..... when you're ready let me know and I can text you a picture of the ASD module...it literally would have been a 2 minute job if anyone had actually seen the ASD module in an M6GC.....

Could you just post the picture and location?

Any idea where the ASD unit would be located on a 2014 M6 convertible?

I'm going to assume for coupes and convertibles, they're in the same location that is under the mat in the trunk on the driver side. It appears that only for the GC, the ASD module is on the roof of the trunk (thank goodness).

I get the sense from you that it was easier to find Saddam Hussein in his hole than it was to try to find the nonexistent ASD module under the trunk carpet.

Thanks Flying Ace. I'll go check tomorrow and see if I can find it. I couldn't quite equate the lefthand picture on the link with my boot area! Still, the floor's easy to check out...

I am apparently technology challenged and cannot seem to upload pix.... but if you are standing behind your car, open the trunk....lean over....look up under the left side of the trunk roof....there is a black plastic cover hanging from the "ceiling" of the trunk.... the ASD module is in there......
