My F12 M6 Build
Being that I have a strong tendency to Mod my cars, I thought it would be nice to actually document one of my builds. I just picked up my F12 on May 28th and have ordered OEM Gloss black Front Grills, Gintani Catless Downpipes, and rear Vorsteiner Spoiler. The next round of Mods will be:
KW HAS kit ADV 20” Wheels Vorsteiner Front, Side, and Rear Diffuser Pieces Exhaust (Not sure what kind yet) For now, here are the quick iPone pics I’ve snapped showing her in stock form.

Dude!!
Very nice .... welcome to the next level of addiction ... Speaking from experience ... after doing the SuperSprint Catless down pipes ... the Akrapovic Evolution full titanium is a killer! Did drive with some friends last weekend (Ferrari 360 with F1 exhaust, 2015 911 Turbo, Maserati and a 2014 Cayman S) .... all the guys said hands down the M6 with the Akra was a killer for sound and sound quality! Hope this helps ... is pricy but amazing

OEM Gloss Black Grills installed. Literally took 20 minutes thanks to the following DIY thread:

Finally got the car back after being fully detailed. Had full paint correction performed and opted to have CQuartz applied to the entire car. Literally looks better than cars on the showroom floor. Couldn't be happier with the results. Its almost like black meatallic glass.
When purchased, I would say the paint was an 8 out of 10. This is my first Black car so the light swirls drove me crazy. Now all I see is Metallic flake everywhere. See pics below: 1 Before pic.. (first pic) followed by the after shots |

Appreciate it! CQuartz is an amazing product and adds that additional layer of protection. When it rains, all I get are water beads over the entire car.... and after a quick spin, all the beads fall right off. I even had it applied to the soft top.

Completely forgot to post these pics. Ended up powder coating the tips black a few weeks ago. Exhaust paired with my catless DPs sounds amazing. I'm extremely happy i went with the valved version though. This setup drones quite a bit under 2k/cruising speeds. Close the valves and it eliminates about 50-60% of the drone.
With valves wide open and full throttle, it becomes menacing. Not to mention all the backfiring and burbling between gears. Has anyone here used dynamat to combat the exhaust drone in the cabin? If so, can i just apply to the underside of the car? I have the Vert so its not as insulated as the GC and the Coupes. I'm not looking to remove the entire interior and dynamat from the inside. Although that may be the best solution, its much too much work. Thoughts? Last edited by Eurohorses; 11-10-2016 at 10:42 AM.. |
