Benz CLS drive loves BMW!

Was just driving the Cross Bronx on my way home with the Turkey and saw this Mercede CLS and i could not believe what i was seeing. Lol

The drive has custom plate with the word "BMW 1"!

Can someone please explain the reason behind this?

Probably had a BMW prior to the CLS and just transferred the plate.

Lol!! My wife was the one who spotted the CLS with the plate and took the photo. The angle of it says it!!!
