according to ppp website: a ecu, catless, full exhaust, and racing air filter modified m6 will cost eur 10467 on parts and the rs7 modded in the same fashion will cost eur 8397 on parts. m6 will result in 708 ps and rs7 will result in 710 ps. 0-100km/h for m6 is 3.88s and for rs7 is 3.28s. rs7 will have about 100nm more of tq. they aren't not listing the 100-200km/h number though.

Sure, lets leave it until we meet. i am done too !

The Z4 trunk has proven surprisingly large and even though it was rarely my DD - it came in handy on a few occasions.

I'll be driving all soon, I'm just mentally masturbating until the baby comes and the job opportunity resolves itself in the next month or so.

To be clear, this purchase will be a 2nd car. My wife has an SUV which will do most of the family duties.

Great stuff.
I may be chiming in a little late, after seeing all the happening here ... and ... and it is easy to do as I have also caused it in the past

To help bring things back to the original question at hand

The rear facing baby seats, and then booster seats, are wide, they did not fit well in the back of an M3/M4 cab ... and we had 2 to fit there as the kids were 2 years apart ... the M6 Cab accommodated them well, and it was easy to get the boys in and out.

A weekend car to travel with the kids, the M6 just had more room for the safety equipment needed for the kids ... this becomes the real issue, which those without having to fit kids into the equation miss out on.

Before we ordered our 2016 M6 Cab, our boys wanted to do the 911 Turbo Cab ... we went down to Porsche and I put the booster seats in, put the kids in and adjusted all the seats and then had them sit in the show room with their ipads for 45 min to see what they thought ... their response was the rear seats were not comfy ... so they decided they didn't want to be in the rear of a 911 for the 50 minute commute too and from school or the 3 hour commute to the cottage ...

M4 Cab was better than the 911 cab but a tight fit side by side for the boosters now, and the rear facing seats then with the M3 Cab .. the M6 Cab just fit better

Hope this helps

Great post. Very useful information. It's not all about the car seat for me, but it obviously matters. I hadn't considered width of the rear seats. I've heard a lot about the M4 seats allowing more leg room than the M6 despite the 6's larger length, but the width obviously matters. While we don't have the baby in the seat yet, he's close enough that we do have his seats installed in our current cars already and they leave compromised space, even in the Grand Cherokee.

I had a M4 without active dampening and I lowered. The ride was horrendous. I knew the ride quality would not be ideal, but it was really bad. In fact, my 4 year old daughter started crying cause it was so bumpy. I have a 991GT3 also, so I looked in my garage and said; What the hell, am I doing? I have no balance here....So I got a M6GC as a daily, I have the GT3 to take out occasionally or track...and a I then got a E36M3 track car too. All needs have been met.

Yes, that does become a real concern, than add their bags and toys and this really leaves little space in the rear seat area.

Our 2007 M6 cab handled the seats and bags well, the 2016 M6 is a little wider as well so more room for their iPads, stuffed animals and bag of cloths etc etc.

Also, seeing as the cabs have less head and neck protection when kids are in boosters, we opted for booster seats with back, head and neck protection for the cab, the other two cars (S63 sedan and GLK SUV) we just use the booster seat bottoms without the back, head and neck part. These are not as wide as the first forward seating one piece baby seat ... Those were really wide and heavy ... Nearly 35 lbs each and about the same height as the current booster seats in the new M6. Based on the above I'd make a run down to a kids r us or another baby/children's store that sells seats and look at the sizes and the ones you would be interested in buying and using in the future. Have a look at size and space they eat up and see how they fit. Safety with babies/kids in cabs is a serious consideration in my opinion, and you will go through the car seat stages relatively quick from rear facing, to forward, to booster. As you go through the stages the seats take less room with each step forward.

There are a lot of seat choices out there, but size is something that will be key to see if you will be happy as kids do tend to bring toys and stuff with them which needs to fit into the rear space area!

Hope this helps! Talk soon

Given that this is an M6 forum, why would you recommend the M6 convertible over the M4 vert?

My concerns about M4 vert are just not enough luxury for the money and a harder ride. My concerns about the M6 convertible are the soft top being less practical for a daily driver, a larger car being less responsive on the twisties, and the additional cost might push me to the used market - meaning I won't be able to personally select colors/options.

I'm also considering just keeping the Z4 and buying something slightly more practical, like an M5, M6 GC, or RS7.
with the utmost

I guess you have answered the question re BABY SEATS in the rear of the M6 vs M4 Cab in your

Or maybe I focused on the BABY thing too much and am myself

either way, just trying to help a Bro out so he can have his car and Baby too!!!

FYI RS6 has the same engine/drivetrain and almost the same weight of RS7...

Thanks! I feel like we're having a side conversation ... but it was what I needed. I just had to sift through the "my Johnson is bigger than yours" portion of the thread.

You are VERY WELCOME!!!

Enjoy the new BABY, and do let us know boy or girl, and then what you settled on for the new ride!

Kids will grow fast! Take many pictures and slow down to enjoy them ... and hopefully they enjoy the cars and learn a few things about them from you
that becomes the really fun part!

AS for the side conversations ... Your comments

Not sure why they got to be that way

it can be fun watching the from time to time ... reminds me of when my now 6 and 8 year olds carry on ... can be vary amusing from time to time ... other times NOT!

Be well!
Talk soon!
