Torque (at wheel) = Torque (at crank) * gear ratio * FD ratio * (1-drivetrian loss)

So at 576 lb-ft torque at crank ( measured by Dinan) and considering 12% drivetrain loss, M6 DCT transfers 8709 lb-ft (576*4.8*3.15) and puts down 7664 lb-ft of torque (576 *4.8 *3.15 * 0.88)
M6 MT puts down 6482 lb-ft. I believe the actual torque of X5M/X6M is more than 600 lb-ft (at crank) so they put down over 8000 lb-ft of torque!
If you have a much taller tyre you'll reduce torque to the ground, same concept as gearing the car up. If you are inputting whatever number of pound feet input and are running a tyre with exactly a one foot radius then naturally your torque is the same. A smaller tyre would mean more torque was delivered to the ground, and a taller tyre of course would reduce that. Same as over and under drive gear ratios.

I was not thinking about drivetrain loss, but as we know the cars are under rated a bit so it probably works out about even

I think there is misunderstanding here. I am talking about " Torque" and you are talking about "Force" while Force (at wheel) = Torque (at wheel) / wheel radios
So basically Force is function of wheel radios. Torque is independent....

Ahh yep right. Running a wider tyre at the same aspect ratio actually helps gear the car up very slightly while giving you a wider footprint, so better for grip in first!

Nice. You definitely need 10 mm spacer or wider tire (MPSS 305/30/20) for rear...

Thanks!

So the hp/torque gauges in the iDrive, and the tire pressure/temp are standard? You didn't need to code those to make them available? Is there a coolant temp meter in there somewhere?

And what color is that interior? Sorry if that's obvious somewhere else, but it looks like it could be dark brown or black.

Awesome. Only 38 more days until I see mine -- but who's counting....

The hp/torque gauges and the tire pressure/temp in the iDrive are STANDARD. Unfortunately there isn't a way, that I know of, to project the coolant temp in the iDrive.

Black interior.

Dinan Stage 2 installed!! Will post pics soon.
Once break in service is complete next week I can finally open up this beast!!

So far the "in your seat" power gains are impressive. Lots of wheel spin though. I am wondering what WOT will feel like above 60mph...

Thanks. HP/torque is out of curiosity/showmanship, but tire pressure temp/psi is safety.

Coolant temp is just about engine temp, but assuming there's no overheating problem, I can probably tell when it's warmed up enough to hit it hard....

Just finished the break-in service... picking up the "Beast Unleashed" tomorrow!!!

Was told the speed limiter was removed... what does that entail?

If SL is removed, you have to be able to reach 170+ (on speedo).... keep passing 160 since the speedo has built-in error so 160 speedo is 155 GPS
