Dyno'ed my M6 today pics and dyno chart inside

My car is completely stock. Dyno'ed on Mustang Dyno (heard that dynojet often shows 20-25hp higher than the Mustang, but here are my numbers.) I went to Murrieta and met Erik from Autohouse Frankfurt. About 55 miles from me but so worth it! Family run operation, first class place, very knowledgeable and detail oriented. Great family and guy definitely they will ALWAYS work on my car..He installed my gills and front grill super fast and then we went down the street to dyno...Highly recommend Autohaus Frankfurt!!

Anyway, 545 whp and 496 LB/FT...with 15% driveline loss that would equal 626 Hp and 575 lb/ft at the crank!! BMW really does underestimate these engines...damn

Thumbs up kidding !!

545 whp ! .. Wow ! But im not supposed to be surprised, i used to be surprised when I thought that 560 was crank hp. Man the car performance is unbelieveable. I wasn't convinced of 490 whp. Now it make some sense

Btw, what is your source of 15% loss ? .. i guess it is around 10% +- 2% not more. The 15%-20% is usually 4WD
loss. Right ?

Man you made my day with that dyno test. That means with ECU tune it reaches 700 crank hp easy. (Im not about amy mods, I like it pure...so far )

The great thing is this is on a Mustang Dyno where most on Mustang Dyno I see 525 ish whp and Dynojet numbers are in the 545 range. Probably means mine would be around 565 on Dynojet.....

My car does NOT have the comp package

Yup fully stock. Well, charcoal filters are out. Ordered BMS today and hoping will have installed by next week. Will run it 100 or so miles (that enough to adapt?) then dyno again

Funny you mention the 15%, I used to figure that on my AWD Porsche. The guy running dyno said figure between 10-15%...

The 560 that BMW claims is crank HP not wheel HP

Not sure about adaptation time, I'll have to do some research
Any harm with removing charcoal filters? Should I do that?

Yes if they are in Canadian cars remove them. Some ppl on here have claimed 15hp gain just from that. I don't know if I believe that but mine are removed...Its super easy

I believe the Canadian cars do not have the charcoal filters. A dyno with and without the filters would have been nice, to put that +15hp theory to the test that is. I'll be removing mine as they're just there for regulation reasons.

My feeling is throttle response is improved and for sure its louder but with your car having DP and exhaust dont know if you will hear difference, but I def do.

I'd see a 11-12% loss on my Z06 with manual trans, the old standard for automatic trans was 15-20%. The DCT may likely be more efficient than that, but I doubt more efficient than a manual trans. Either way, this engine is under rated.

ALL auto manufacturers claim their HP/TQ at the crank, not the drive wheels.

Thank you for posting! There are so many irrelevant claims by vendors on this forum of increases in HP/TQ without any proof of baseline HP/TQ numbers. Now if you mod the car, you'll know what benefit you get for your $$.

Yea I know but someone posted something about whp and crank hp and he said something about 496Whp and that BMW was claiming whp...I have no idea what he was talking about is why I addressed it..HAHA

I know I was expecting 520's on the Mustang Dyno from what I heard dynojet shows 20-25 higher hp readings and those were in the 540 range not mustang...I was so happy with results. I would say it was probably 55-60 degrees outside but that shop was much warmer inside...
