Hit and Run Incident
Last Tuesday Sept 29, my girlfriend and I got back from an overseas trip and had just picked up my dogs from the sitter. On the way back home, just a few blocks away from where I picked them up, I encountered a red Toyota Camry on major road rage. He sped up from behind tail gating me while honking and flicking me off. I let him pass on the right lane and he swerved in front of me for no reason and moves onto the left turn lane at the intersection. I slowly pulled up next to him, rolled my windows down and asked what the hell his problem was. He flicked me off again while laughing and looking like a psycho so I flicked him off too and said fuck you. He then begins to talk of violence reverses to come up behind me and threatens to ram my car from behind. I told him I'd call the police if he touched my car. He then moves over to my passenger side where my girlfriend was sitting and spits on her before taking off. At this point it was battery and I was going to get his license plate and perhaps a photo of his face. He got stuck in traffic a block ahead and I pulled up behind him to to take a snapshot of his plate. Just before I got a photo, he reveres straight into my stationary car. As I got out of the car to confront him he started inching forward and I got in front of his car and told him to stop. I shouted "Are you going to run me over?" as he accelerated and I got scooped up on the hood for two seconds before rolling off onto the asphalt. He took off and ran a red light and disappeared to the right. It was pretty surreal and I received some injuries, but nothing major. Not only did this son of a bitch spit at my girlfriend and smash my car, he also injured me, shattered my iphone 6 and gashed up my brand new Panerai 510 that I purchased last month.
I was afraid that he would get away, but today I met with the officer on my case and I was able to identify the suspect through photos. He told me that this scumbag was in custody for another crime he committed right before he did this to me. I feel unlucky that I had to be in the way of this psycho, but this kind of scumbag needs to be put out for the good of society. |

buddy im glad your ok but i gotta be honest, no matter what i don't let people bait me into confrontations on the road. I have been blessed to have nice cars and i never want someone to damage it over some bs on the road, then to have it escalate to the point of someone spitting on my lady or trying to run me over is crazy. Lets call a spade a spade regardless of how it started or who was at fault, you were yelling and cursing with the guy, im sure you were furious and animated. Read your own post, the moment he pulled in front of you had you simply let the asshole drive away none of this would have happened, you let him bait you into pulling up next to him and continue the bs. At the end of the day who cares if they yell or carry on? Simply drive off safely in your beautiful car with your lady and that nice watch and go one with life. He is obviously a loser that crime is normal for him..
Glad you are ok and I'm sure your woman is shook up |

Thank you, I feel like these days all I hear is bad news everywhere..
And I totally regret wasting my time acknowledging this scumbag when I should've just avoided any confrontation, especially in this crazy city. It must've been the jet lag that clouded my judgement. |

Could have suffered worse injuries. Your car can be replaced, but certain injuries leave permanent damage. In the grand scheme of things, glad you're ok bro. Definitely not worth it dealing with people like that. Best of luck to you. |

Hey
Your okay, thank God. I was a cop for a long time and saw this type of shit. In some occasions someone died. Like a cop that I knew in road rage incident he was on his ninja. The fucking guy stops short on purpose. Bam the bike rammed right into the rear of the pick up. The cop that I knew died on the spot.....

hey, i absolutely applaud you for confronting the guy, though i'd have to call you out on standing in front of a crazy guy in his car!
people always say to take the high road, but given what he did, i'd have done exactly the same thing as you and wouldn't be able to live with myself if someone spat on me or my girlfriend and i just walked away. of course, the flip side is that if i did that, my girlfriend would give me crap for the rest of my life. someone took my parking spot once and i jumped out and waited for him to get out of his car to confront him but he just stayed in his car so i eventually conceded. she never lets a similar situation go by without a "just let it go, he could have a gun, you stupid ass!" |

Glad all is well. This would have been a much shorter story here in Texas.
I was robbed at gunpoint about 11 years ago, yesterday a guy walked in front of my car from nowhere in a parking garage, my gun was pointed at him within a second. Turns out he was in the car next to me, but I've been a little light on the finger the last 11 years |

do you guys feel like we get more road rage in these type of cars? Like people think we are "rich" snobs?? I saw this guy going nuts the other day in an old busted up corolla, What ever incident caused it was so minor that I have no idea what it was. But the guy was just yelling and carrying on at me on the highway. I ignored him and went on with my day

I am sure there could be a doctorate thesis for psychology on this topic It is a shame though that one's level of success is regarded so negatively by others ... Like I said before ... Hope good health and prosperity to all ... and hope we all can enjoy the fruits of our efforts in a positive light!! No one gets a head with no effort, but I hope our success inspires others to work hard and not bread jealousy! "speedracerlo" and "Mr.SugarSkulls" both had to deal with this now ... in their own way! Shame really! Just my 2 cents from my soap box! Be well everyone! To many more positive days, success and the addiction of sick cars!

Probably was on bath salts.....
I likely would have killed the guy 10 years ago. That being said, nowadays you have to be careful of situations like this because you hear stories all the time where the nut pulls out a gun and kills the person. You just don't know who is packing and it's not worth the risk. Glad you were able to ID him....people like that need to be shot on site.
