M6 Gran Coupe after one month of ownership
I got a 2014 M6 Gran Coupe in Singapore Grey with full black leather about a month ago, and I have only seen one other in the wild in Los Angeles. I replaced a 2011 Panamera Turbo that I loved, but was bored with, and did not find the refresh to be that exciting (the 2014 updates ended up being relatively minor). I drove the M6 GC and it was like a breath of fresh air - BMW finally nailed an interior (so much nicer to me than the M5 which I really tried to like). For me, the interior layout and finishes need to be great in a luxury car, and they were that way in many of the luxury cars I have previously owned, but never prior in a BMW. The B&O sound system is exquisite (better than the Burmester in the Panamera Turbo I had) and the ergonomics and technology are first rate. I also discovered that I can actually copy my DTS 5.1 CDs (Sting, etc...) to the hard drive and they play back in 5.1. So cool. I copied them over and put the discs away. Unreal surprise! I then added them to my hard drive playlist, and good to go. So neat.
The exterior of this car is so gorgeous (to me) and have gotten so compliments on it from people who know cars....and those who don't. It just does not look like anything else out there. The M-ness of it is very apparent; it is so sleek and low, and the CF roof is really beautiful in the sunlight. The ride of this car after a month is better and better. The rush and delivery of power is intoxicating. I have a 991 Carrera S cab that I have only driven about 100 miles in the past month due to how much fun I am having with the M6. Each morning, when it comes time which car to drive, I find myself heading to Bavaria rather than to Zuffenhausen! In any event, both are so different, but the M6 GC is such a great package. I now have almost 900 miles on it so am eager to get the first service done. Here are some pics. Jeff |

This is a true beauty. SG is also a very nice colour on M6 GC. I have a 650GC, but when I am looking at the M6GC, I am always thinking about trade in. lol

Awesome looking M6 GC.
And that's the coolest garage floor I've seen.

My local BMW dealership organized an "Active M Drive" event featuring the M6GC. It is truly an awesome car and I now have a much better appreciation of why these cars are called "beasts". Very apt description. May you have many miles of pleasure with your "ultimate driving machine".

glad you are enjoying the bimmer, the m6gc really do look sleek and does not look like nothing else outthere on the street.

Ah - that makes sense - I grew up in Ottawa so I know that weather well (have lived in LA for the past 17 years so I have long since forgotten)!!!
