I like the VRSF that I have installed. The built quality is excellent.
The 640i (N55 engine) only requires 1 downpipe not 2.
In terms of sound. It’ll be a slight bit louder. But very minimal without changing the stock exhaust. If you don’t want to do a full exhaust swap. You can also try changing the intake and charge pipe. Which won’t give any additional exhaust noise but will give a nice turbo whining sound when you really step on it.
Now the power gains will be objective depending on what you consider power gains. With the down pipe alone you may not see any gains. But if you couple that with a good tune you can see up to 40 additional hp. If your tuner is good and can play with your boost and keep it Reliable you may see some more.
Just with what I mentioned. You should have a more responsive and fun car.
But this is just the tip of the iceberg in term of what you can do with power.

And lastly you will get a CEL. But your tune should turn that off. And by off i mean turn off the light. Remember you’re removing the cat. So you’ll still fail emissions. Not sure if emissions is checked in France.

Hey I have a question, when you turn off the CEL using a tune such as a jb4 (like I'm getting), what happens if my car has something that actually needs to be repaired or checked? Will my check engine light still work in that scenario?

I have ER exhaust catless. You will def. smell the gases if your car is tuned and modded heavily. Also with M6 mufflers sound great. You will need a tune to get rid of check light if you decide to go catless. (BM3). Only need 1 downpipe.

That’s a great question. I would want to say yes, other CEL warnings will show as I’ve had things happen and my lights did appear. But (there’s always a but) it depends on how you choose to get rid of the CEL. Some ppl code it out. Some ppl use a sort of dongle that splice into the wiring of o2 sensor. Like a CatSim or something similar. Talk to your turner. He/she will recommend the best approach for your application.

Yes, an axle back would be nice. And cheaper than a whole cat back.
Only thing. The M performance is a little expensive for what you get.

I saw that $howtime456 chimed in. Follow his work. He’s doing some great stuff.
