2018 650xi cab

I just noticed the 6-series convertible is gone from the BMW website configurator. I guess the 8 series is closer to production than some think? Does anyone have any info and insight? I was honestly waiting for the 8-series, but was taking a look at some 6 series cars on the dealer lots. Surprisingly, the dealers aren't discounting them too much just yet though.

my 650 vert lease is up in May -- Im currently negotiating with the dealer. 1 - there are very few 2018 6 convertibles out there - production was scaled back for 18 2 - they advised me the M8 coupe is this summer - with the convertible in late fall. So - its close - but not that close. I also checked the BMW website - you are correct - no more 6 convertible

Wow.. M8 coupe this summer would be a quick turn around - do you know when they are starting to take orders for it? What cars are you negotiating for? How has your 650 been?

Try harder. New 6-series cars definitely will have a steep discount for ones already on the lot.

I think the better value would be to just buy pre-owned and/or CPO ones today. Certain model years and configuration can be had for like $30k. Hell, if you stretch, you can even get into a 2014 F12 M6 in the $40s...

Also, the 8-series will be the most expensive car in the lineup. And as with all large BMW coupes and sedans, depreciation would not be very friendly.

They are willing to discount the ones on the lot ~10% I've noticed, but that still doesn't make for an amazing deal since I still wind up ~$100k on the fully loaded ones. What do you think a good deal would be on these? I'd imagine they'd get cheaper once the 8-series is announced in June?

10% from what? Sticker? That does not sound right. I would expect at least a 15% discount.

My point is, waiting for the 8-series will just end up costing even more. It'll have a higher starting price than the current 6-series from what I heard.

10% from sticker, yes. I'm thinking the 6 series will get discounted more once the 8 is announced. I haven't leased a car in 10+ years, so it's tricky for me to ball park. How does this look? This is the lowest they are willing to come down on this specific one:

the 650 has been flawless - 3 years of oil changes and 2 battery changes but nothing more. I do not have accurate info for you on when the ordering banks open. I do know the coupe will be released first and then the convertible next year.

also - I received an email from BMW regarding the 6 convertible - $2000 off right now . I agree that 15% plus $2000 could be had. Problem is - when I evaluated the lease purchase - I asked about new. There are really no 6's out there to speak of. Inventory is VERY low. I think on the east coast there were a few M6's and 5 650's in dark colors - which was my requirement....
