Road trip with friends

Hey All,

Just wanted some feedback lets say your going for a ride with some friends, about 15 cars or so, driving alongside i95 north to south or surrounding areas.

you've got your speeding limits (under 70 your good) but you've got your adrenaline and you may hit 100+ here and there.

whats the typical worse case situation provided no accidents of course.
so a cop comes out, not sure who did it or who did what.
... how does that play out?

lets also say everyones driving record is clean.

just trying to do some homework and make sure i can provide useful feedback.

thanks!!

Honestly really depends on the cop and your speed. I've had everything from a warning and a "hey nice car!" to cops screaming in my face threatening to throw me in jail (this was a while ago).

Virginia is nasty...radar detectors are illegal...many traps..be careful.
north and south carolina's are good..not many traps..but still be careful...Georgia and Florida have traps when you enter the state lines.
whenever you see a sign board for a county or city with welcome...always be extra careful....look for "no turns" signs in the center from far..thats where cops are parked to catch speeders..ive done NJ to Miami Key west many times..without any issues..just drive safe...you can have occasional fun if you learn the pattern of those center "no turns" signs and it depends on state to state.
again..this all is my personal observation...i may be wrong...dont take any risk and follow the laws.
if already not started..have a safe and fun trip..

Go to Montana ... no speed limits ... other than excessive fuel consumption fines ... on the major interstates you are golden!!!

I forgot about that area ... was many a fun road trip to be had in the 90's!!!

Man - oldtimers ... totally forgot!

ok ... there have been changes to the rules for Montana .. no longer the wild wild west from days gone by

http://www.nytimes.com/1998/12/25/us...too-vague.html

Until it was changed back to 75 mph on interstate highways, Montana probably had more tourists driving Ferraris, Lamborghinis and Corvettes than any other state in the nation. Today, Utah and portions of Texas have the highest interstate speed limits, capped at 80 mph.Sep 2, 2011

85 mph in texas

THE INTERNET IS A WONDERFUL PLACE ... Makes Siri seem brilliant

Did you guys think of a track outside of Vegas where Mercedes AMG does their AMG driver Tours, and is the site of Corvette and Camero racing and garages you can buy/rent to store your toys ... oh and yes, you can build a 5000+ sq ft home on the edges of the track?

Have HAD MANY a CRAZY time there!!!
