Competition m6

I am curious if the cool springs on the competition m6 f13 are lower sitting than the regular m6? If so how many mm's difference are they? I really dislike the 1 inch drop kits out at the moment for the m6 f13... Why they drop the front more than the rear is silly to me.. I feel as if H&R and the others felt we where going to fill our trunks with lots of luggage. Hmmm

1980 E26  [10.00]
2003 BMW M5  [10.00]
There is a 10mm drop I believe.

• Power increase by 11kW (15HP) to 423kW (575 HP)
• Stiffer stabilizer (anti-roll) bars
• Stiffer and lower suspension (shocks and springs) (10mm lower than standard).
• Stiffer front axle bushings
• Active M Differential with a unique tune for the competition package for improved traction
• New hydraulic rack-and-pinion steering with the M-specific Servotronic function with A MORE DIRECT PROGRAMMING to improve agility during cornering
• M Dynamic mode (MDM) of DSC tuned with higher thresholds of intervention
• New 20" M light alloy wheels
• Sport exhaust with black chrome tips
• Note: BMW M ceramic brakes still remain a separate option, unrelated to this package.
• 2014 US pricing: $7300

Me either especially when Dinan will have their tune out in 1 month, produce way more gains and be half the price

I'd have thought the opposite actually. The CP basically adds no power but quite a few handling improvements, the Dinan tune will add power and no handling improvements. They will probably go pretty well together. Retrofitting the improved rack alone would cost more then the CP.

Apart from the wheels and the exhaust I don't think you can retro fit any of the CP items.

The CP has got more to do with handling and feel than outright power. They probably added the power bump just for the hell of it. I mean upping the power from 560 to 575hp isn't going to be noticeble in a street car that weighs this much.

You can retro fit the comp pack anti roll bars front and back. They are thicker.

CP adds well over 15hp. BMW is very conservative with their numbers, even without CP M5/M6 make around 600hp according to dyno readings.
