Interested. Is this stage one? What else is needed in addition for this to work...anything? Will the CEL come on with this? If this is removed before service the dealer won't know it was ever installed, correct?

This is stage 1. No check engine light at all. If you have concerns with your dealership dodging warranty then yes I would take it off when going in for services. It will take 10 mins to do so literally. Nothing required additionally than maybe a small flat screwdriver or table knife for stubborn sensor connections.

Additionally yes it is not traceable by the dealership.

Thanks for the info. How long have you had this installed on the car? Was it a really noticeable difference in power? Seems like I would be at 505hp with this. Let me see what my shop would charge me to install this. This would fit a '14 650 coupe correct?

I had it on my car for about 2 months before I traded it. It is a noticeable difference in power for sure. It will work on 2013 and up 650i. By far the easiest way to add power to your car and if you have other mods it will compliment them. Higher octane fuel also helps.

Your PM inbox is full...

My installer is asking this:

Is this sold with or without the BCM?
And is that including the obd port for the can bus system? Or without?

Thanks and let me know. He said They are separate harnesses that will varie the installation labor cost.

None of these questions are pertinent to the install of this tune. This is a plug and play device not a flash or ODBII tuning device.

This intercepts the TMAP and MAP sensors and provides data to the computer that way to increase the power. This is a piggy back tune.

go look on bms' website for the install pics. for the n63tu, 2 little boxes just plug into each side of the mass air flow sensors. its literally a 5 min job. if you can pop your hood and add oil, you can probably install these.

Yeah I did, I can definitely pop the hood and add oil

I was trying to pull the engine cover off but the engine was still hot so I couldn't really take it off. Does it just snap off? Maybe it will be a breeze when I'm trying not to burn myself lol. I'll let the engine cool off and will try it again tonight to see if I can get the cover off and figure out where the mass air flow sensors are.

I usually have 2 left hands when it comes to doing ANY mods myself...but if you are really claiming its a 5 min job then I may be down for a challenge.

it truly is easier than it seems. there are two boxes, each with two ends.

you unplug something from the engine, and these boxes are installed in-line with what you unplugged. only only thing is that you now have two slightly dangling boxes that you'll want to ziptie down

Gotcha...I was curious about them just "hanging" there but a zip tie sounds like a good idea. I am assuming these 2 BMS boxes won't melt from all that engine heat if the car is driven hard (assuming they have been properly engineered not to melt under extreme temperature)...but would the zip tie's be able to hold up well with high engine heat or is there a chance they could melt? May be a dumb question. Metal zip ties a better bet?
