Next gen 2011 6-series hardtop convertible (F13) spy video
The next generation 6-series convertible (F13) continues testing throughout Munich. The folding top is expected to be a hardtop. She's sounding good!

Wait, that's a rag top. This makes no sense?

I'm hoping there's a little more fat suit left to cover some body lines, or the lack of them for that matter.

It's a hardtop. The rag is just there for camo purposes. if you look at the rear windows, you can see that it is a hardtop and the rag actually does not connect to the back.

I don't think you will see a return to the metal roof for future convertibles, the weight is too great, plus it's effect on handling is something that even BMW can't fully overcome.

Why do they drive like assholes?
You can tell is a fake rag-top. It's actually a hard top underneath.

I would've thought it's a hardtop since he just came out of the car wash. I recall that rag-top cars are not recommended in car washes, since high pressure water can (sometimes) leak in. On the other hand, they could be testing the quality of the fit and finish...
... but I vote hard-top. The Z got it, the owners of the 6-series would want one too. |

The overall lines make me think of an Aston Martin DB9. Which isn't bad.

No shit - why take the thing through the car wash? To clean the dirt off the zubaz stripes? I guess it could be to test the roof for leaks, but he didn't seem to be looking around for water...
