I doubt it. The M6 rotors have a larger diameter. You caliper won't fit. You would have to swap over the entire system, but the wheel carrier is different. I'm not sure if the M6 caliper will bolt on. I have no idea if the rest of the hydraulic and electrical systems are compatible either.

Just my 0.02. But if you are going to be actually changing brake parts, I suggest you do it with one manufacturer -- either OEM BMW, Stoptech, Brembo, or whatever. Unless you know exactly what you are doing, and have a tech handy to do any clean up work, you really don't want to be mixing and matching. Even assuming everything fits and works fine when you install them, you don't want to have to face the situation down the road when something does happen and you want it repaired under warranty and then have to hunt down 3 or 4 different manufacturers who are all going to be pointing the finger at the other guy. Anyhow, good luck. |

Thanks for the advice ipsedixit.
I started off wanting to just paint the calipers black and one thing led to another. No work have been done to the OEM brake system yet. The replacement of the OEM rotors with drilled rotors is not as simple as I imagined. Obviously, more research is needed. I will just get the calipers painted this week and go from there. Thanks again. |
