I love the wheels, but have a question on your drop.

I just put some Forgestar f14's on my car with a 20x9 Semi Concave on the front and a 20x10.5 Super Deep Concave on the rear.

I am in major need of a drop.

Has you car settled since these pictures? Its looks like it riding much higher than this picture another F06 GC with H&R springs.. Also, did you use part #28947-1 for the X-Drive

http://www.6post.com/forums/showthre...wering+springs

Megan Racing just released a lower spring set for our cars as well which lowers 1.5, it looks like its a more aggressive drop, but not sold on the quality of the springs.

Anyone running these springs?

Teaser - (crappy pic outside work)

There are a few reason why the drop does not look like the pic of the other GC you posted. First reason is when I took the pics I just had the springs installed and it did not settle completlely. Second reason is I am running 20x11s in the rear with 285 tires which caused the tires to strecth (I will use 295 for my next set), which in turn makes the sidewall of the tires smaller creating a bigger gap between the fenders. The springs that are on the pic of the GC is the same as mine. We both used H&R part# 50476 which has the same spring rate as the stock 650i and 640i xdrive. So the drop is mild and due to reasons I mentioned above, it made the car's drop height look less. Hope this helps.

Aslo FYI the angle of the pics I took had a part in it as well. It is very low in person. So low that it scrapes the front bumber everytime I pull out of my drive way, thought I mention that.

Thanks for the reply. Can you do a straight on from the side or measure it to the top of the wheel arch?

I am running a 10.5 in the back with a 285 and my sidewall is pretty square. I also have a super aggressive rear wheel, with a large concavity.

I'm guessing H&R has since addressed our cars with a specific spring. The part number I pull is #28947-1, which is us and the F10 535's.

I'm also seeing a 1.4/1.3" drop on the car listed. I have a 28" and a 28.25" measurement to the top of my wheel arch.

Here is one I took yesterday. I will take more when I get a chance tomorrow. IMO I wouldn't go any lower then the h&r for everyday drivability reason. Keep in mind you're not driving a cheap import and you don't have to have it slammed to the ground to make it look good. This car already looks beautiful as it sits from factory you're just enhancing the looks of it by a slight drop. Good luck!

Car looks great. I installed Eilbach pro kit on mine it only dropped it 20 mm but made all the difference for me. Your right it's personal taste in the end I use mine as a daily and have had no issue with the ride. Wish I could get similar parts for mine but mine doesn't have the M bars. It's really frustrating when I see how good it COULD look. If anyone knows where I could get M bars for my car and if I can just swap them that would be great.

When you say "M bars" are you referring to the front and rear bumpers? If so there are online stores that sell it, just google it and you will find it.

Well done OP. Looking forward to getting a GC soon.

Any recent shots of how the H&R's look on the car? I would love to see a closeup of the gap between the wheel arch and tires. (example below)

This GC also has H&R springs, and it looks nice and low in the pic above, love this stance.

Here are some more pics with H&R springs:

I just installed these springs and I don't know why H&R would drop the front by 1.2" and only 0.40" in the back. The front is so much lower than the back that it looks weird. Now I gotta figure out how to lower the back more to make it look even. Damn H&R and their design on this.

These pics make me wanna drop my car ASAP!! One thing is the ride quality compromised when it lowered?

Hey I have the same car and looking to use the hr springs you are using. Can you give me the part number. By the way the car and your mods are amazing.
