extend the warranty

I have 650i 2012 there's 44000M on it. Do you guys recommend me to extend the warranty? I'm thinking to keep the car for 2 more years. $3000 for the maintenance and will get 2 years or 100000m and $4000 for the engine and gear ect.. . So how it works i heard they don't cover all things? Getting 2 of them which is $7000 is toooo much, so if I have to choose one which one should I get?

Thanks

If you are going to keep it for two years, you're better off leasing a new one.

man, that's a spendy warranty extension. i've only got 4700 miles on my 2015 650 and already got one drivetrain malfunction notice...makes me wonder if buying a bmw really is as troublesome as they say

That's what make me want to extend it. What do you think should I go with?

i've no idea what the details are, but for that amount of money, i'd be asking for a sales manager to sit down with me and go over it very carefully, instead of having a sales guy just say that it takes care of everything.

i just found out my damn run flat already developed a bubble. of course it isn't covered under warranty, but i know i didn't attack any pot holes in my 4700 miles of driving

so far, not a harbinger of a peaceful ownership experience

I got a 2012 650i back in September 2011. about 3-4 months later with 5k on the clock I saw those bubbles on the side wall of front right tire. I am not sure if it was Goodyear or Dunlop. I visited dealer and as usual they said no warranty and they told me I had attacked pot holes that was BS!
Then I visited the tire rep in my area. As soon as the guy looked at my tire he said yes this is definitely defective tire. He talked to his manager and accepted to replace the tire, but he didn't have that tire in stock. He called the factory and they recommended to replace all 4 tires with Bridgestone Potenza. The day after I dropped my car and he replaced all 4 for free... Go ahead and give it a try Good luck!
