AC Blower Motor replacement

I think my AC blower motor is going bad. Making a loud hum when on high speed. Does anyone have an idea of what thats going to cost me to get replaced? Im not a DIYer but i like to have an idea if the guy i have been taking it to is in the ballpark of what it should cost.
Thanks

It is actually pretty simple. The noise is likely from leaves in the blower as the result of the foam filter disintegrating (a very common problem). The whole job should not be more than 1 hour labor. There are some YouTube videos on doing it.
You can replace the foam filter with some synthetic AC duct filter. The 5 and 6 are pretty much the same.

Not sure leaves will make it hum. The actual blowers do go bad, although what you said about the filter is true. So he should check that first. I've not done a blower on a 6 series, but as a general matters it's not usually a very hard job.

I've noises too and I'm waiting for some nice weather to take the thing to bits and see if I need a new blower or not. This video is the most useful one that I've found so far but if you have any additional tips Opie55 I'd be grateful for them.

Thanks everyone and my money is on leaves given i recently drove it through really bad storm with piles of leaves blowing everywhere. I had to really pressure wash my wheel wells to get them all out.
However, still looks a little too complex for me or at least enough parts have to come out where i would probably end up screwing something else up...
Thanks

Maybe that girl in the YouTube video will help. That seems worth it.

Just a quick follow up on this, i had the dealership fix it and it was about $800. I dont think they replaced the motor but rather the box it sits in with the mesh cover. I can get the actually details of the write up if anyone is interested in the part numbers of what was actually replaced. probably way more than my indy, but not terrible. Sound great now.

That's good news. I'm still waiting for a dry day!

If anyone’s issue is like the OP’s original post…where your blower is making a significant HUM…especially when the speed is increased…then here’s another video (below) that shows how to replace the filter and confirms why the blower is humming.

Fortunately (or unfortunately) it doesn’t have the sexual overtones that the previous video has…but it does show how to access the the filter to see how the media disintegrates…and how the same disintegrated media and other debris (leaves etc) makes the blower hum.

The video is of a F chassis 7 series…but the 5/6/7 series shares many common build designs and the HVAC blower is one of the shared designs & locations, too:
