Best ECU Tune?

I'm getting my Fabworx catless down pipes installed tomorrow and was planning on getting the PP Performance ECU tune. I got a quote for around 1800 for the tune. However I realized that these ECU tunes have no tangible value like piggyback systems which can be taken off and resold. At first I thought 1800 was a great price, but now I'm not too sure. I'm not looking to juice too much power from my car as it's got plenty enough for me as it is. I just want a slight tune that can get rid of CEL and utilize the new down pipes. Any advice would be appreciated.

If you feel $1,800 is a lot for a tune..that is a cheap price...keep in mind you have 2 ECU's that need to be removed. Hopefully they are opening the ECU and not drilling them.
I would recommend the BMS JB4 if you are looking for another option other then a flash tune.
It has multiple performance maps available as well as CEL delete for the CEL due to catless downpipes.
I have installed many kits for the M5/M6 platform for my clients.

Dont mean to threadjack but can members chime in on the going rate for downpipe intall on our cars? If gotten quotes as low as $350 and as high as $1200. Should i just settle in the middle?

ok i'll use your hours as a baseline. Going hourly rate here in NYC is around $125. So around $500 would make sense. $1200 is just obsurd.

It takes 3 - 4 hours at an experienced shop.
I always replace the gaskets for the ones we install here so make sure to ask that the gaskets get at least inspected, they can damage very easily.

I have nothing but great things to say about ESS. I ran their 595 Supercharger kit on my E90 M3 and I never ran into an issue. They tunes and kits are the result of tons of R&D and turn our Beasts into Monsters.

Are you running downpipes to get to that 710hp number?
