Can you include some information? What does this system do? Expected gains? Ease of install? 20% off of how much? Sorry but still new to all this and not familiar with this mod. Also would it be beneficial to include the 550 guys on this too?

edit: Nevermind. I think I found the set up you are talking about. Is it at the following site? https://n63intake.com/product/n63n63...ld-air-intake/

Still curious about pricing though. Also, for those who have done this and/or the Burger stage 1 (which I believe is significantly less expensive and claims to add more HP than this), what would you recommend going with? Do they both work better together? Or could you slowly add these mods on?

An intake is never a replacement for a tune of a piggy back and never claims to be, it's an addition to your tune or a piggy back.
An intake will never gain same power, but will help you once you start to tune, down pipes, exhaust etc.
we 5 series owners have been using this intake for over a year now there are about 100 5 series cars out with the intake in USA and about 20 overseas.
It was never marketed to 6 series owners because the interest was low, that's why the 20% was included to gain some traction with 6 series community.

If i ware you i would get a piggy back or a tune 1st before any other modification.

Regards,

In order to make more power you need more air and more fuel. Intakes let more air in, and a free flowing exhaust lets the exhaust out easier making the system more efficient. The tune adds more fuel, can boost turbo pressures, and tweaks the ignition of it to keep everything happening at the right time, and BOOM - you have more power. Doing any of them alone has limited benefit. Do them all together, and you can make more power.

This is the cliff notes versions, so all you combustion scientists drooling over your keyboards right now, please chill out.

I am still considering it. There really isn't another option on the market right now I am aware of. It's not really the style I am looking for, but...

Thanks for the information all. I will probably try the piggy back first and then possibly look into the cold air.

What's the consensus on dirt/dust/grime/snow, etc. getting into into the filters? Are these going to be a nightmare to keep clean?

seeing as they are positioned almost exactly in front of the kidney grills, I think the answer is a big, fat yes. These will work for drag strips and sunny day drives, but not so well for a daily driver.
