Road Tripping in my '14 M6

Five weeks ago I loaded up my '14 F13 M6 Coupe CP and drove from Boston to Winter Park, Colorado. I stayed there for a month, and then drove two days to Redmond, WA. Will be in WA for a few weeks, and then taking a more leisurely Eastward route back to Boston (with some sight-seeing hopefully).

It's been an AMAZING road trip car! Super comfortable, even for multiple 12-14 hour driving days in a row. Great stereo. Not a TON of trunk room, but enough for two people's stuff for a month or two. The turbo's (and the Turner module/exhaust) mean that it will happily sprint hard up to the speed limiter even when pointing uphill at 9,000 ft in the Rockies. It's FUN to drive, easy to pass, easy to make great time with a steady fast pace (and a good radar detector). The gas milage is better than I expected.

TLDR: M6 is a great road trip car!

At 90-95 mph I was getting about 21-22. Probably would be better slower but... why?

Road/tire noise was very low, except on a few very rough stretches of pavement. Cabin was quiet, mostly listened to books on tapes and talked with my passenger. I've been very impressed with the Turner muffler deletes being pretty quiet until you're ON the gas (or cold starts :P ). I've done the coast to coast drive in everything from an Eclipse to an S4, M3, and the M6 takes the cake for the most pleasant, untiring, and fun car to cover the miles in.

Thats great to know - as I'm looking to switch from a B8.5 S4 into a M6 gran coupe and freeway ride quality is important to me.

I hope the coupe and the gran coupe are on par with a hushed ride - as I have not test driven either of them. I have test driven an M5 and did like that if thats any indication.

The M6 is much quieter in the cabin than my B5 S4 was, for sure. Especially with the stock exhaust (the Turner is a bit louder but not invasive IMHO).
