Would you have any concerns?
I am wanting to join the M6 family, as I used to have a M3 and X5M. I'm missing my M so M6GC it is. I found a used one and according to the car fax, it looks like the car didn't have the 1200 mile service. The car currently has 9800 miles. Would you be concerned if no 1200 mile service? Still under warranty but not buying from a BMW dealership, so it's not CPO.
Thanks in advance for any comments/suggestions.

How is it possible? First of all a warning message will pop off (and also yellow triangle on dash) to remind the 1200 mile break-in service and will never be cleared unless dealer clear that message. Second the differential and engine oil must be changed at that time. You should ask dealer about the validity of warranty in this case...

I called the original dealer that serviced mu used M6 and they gave me entire history over the phone. Carfax does not show all service, dealer not obligated to report at all.

My guess is that it just wasn't reported. Carfax info is a good guide but doesn't necessarily report everything. On the flip side, it sometimes reports a car being detailed? Really, does anyone need to know that nonsense?? Will that help you determine a cars value/upkeep? Not exactly.
Also, many guys can do their own work (or their buddy who works at a good Indy shop hooks them up for convenience) and would rather even though this work is paid for.... Just sayin its only an oil change. |

It may be little late, but if you cannot confirm the 1200 mile service then just stay away.
A BMW enthusiast friend and reputed used BMW dealer told me that he never picks any M car without first service in history, because the car will have less resale value. |
