Yea, from a tire perspective, I'm getting Discount Tire insurance policy. I think it is costing me like $115 for all four tires.

So just an update.
I had my 4th flat the other day. But I had the spare in the truck and went to the closest garage to get it swapped. 5 minutes later I was back on the road and drove the last 50 miles back home. Success!!! Car felt less stable than full sized tires of course but I kept it to 55-60 mph and didn't have any issues. The tire fit perfectly. Also as a sidenote. I am very relieved to have gotten the tire and rim insurance. With 500 dollars a replacement, this car would've gotten expensive real fast. |

I too opted for the spare tire kit after multiple wheel/tire issues. Yes, towing is an acceptable option if you have the patience for it, but after going through it a couple times I had enough. Given the East Coast pothole situation, the spare is the much better option IMO.

I would just like to say to all the doubters that I have spent the last few years reading all the posts about switching to non-run flats. First on my old 635d and then for my current 640d GC but I was never sure so stuck with the runflats.
I recently decided to go for it and bought a set of Bridgestone non-runflats and I am so impressed at the difference. Gone is the crashy ride and much more steering feel. Why didn't I do it before!!!??? Mind you, I think the Bridgestones are slightly noisier than the old Dunlop Sprotmaxx GT's, but I knew that would be the case from the label I got a Slime emergency repair kit Thanks for all the advice you good people |

Space Saver Spare Wheel/Tire
Hello;
I have a 2014, BMW 640i gran coupe with the M package and 20" wheels. My owners manual states I can also use 19 inch wheels. I am looking for an inexpensive space saver wheel/tire. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks. Paul |
