Diff fluid change steps

My car is due for an oil change so might as well do this also, but I can’t find a how to for it. Has anyone tackled this service by themselves?

No one on M5post has a DIY, but based on the M3 diff and other diffs I've seen, you'll have 2 holes. The top would be the fill hole, and bottom is the drain hole. Remove the top first and then the bottom.

The fluid you use, you should buy the BMW retail version in special dispensers. That way you can squirt it in sideways. Otherwise of you buy the bulk fluid you need to create your own pump dispenser.

Here's the M3 DIY:

As with any fluid change, I highly recommend buying and replacing with new bolts. I hate the BMW nested hex bolts, easy to slip when greasy
