How many aftermarket forged wheels are similar in weight to the stock wheels?
There are plenty of forged offerings out there but how many are lighter than the 25.1lbs and 26.2lbs of the stock wheels? Obviously the BBS FI-R are significantly lighter at 17.5lbs and 18.5lbs, but apart from that there doesn't seem to be much out there, and those are in the same width as stock, plus they will need about 20mm spacers at the rear to suit the M6.
Does anyone make a 20x10" and 20x11.5" or similar set of wheels in M6 offsets that would beat the stock wheel weight? |

Curious here as well. I love good looking rims, but if I'm going to drop $$$ I want to be shedding unsprung weight...

OEM weighs 24.7lbs front and 25.8lbs in the rear. A 20" option that weighs less are the BBS FI

Thanks for that, and yes I'm aware of the stock sizes but was thinking I'd like to run 275/35/20 and 325/30/20 tyres, which would require an 11.5" rear.

That way it will fit perfect and handle as well too. 11.5 with 325 tire will be bad on cornering. |

I was looking at the Dunlop Sport Maxx GT which is measured at 11.5" with an acceptable width of 11" to 12". I could go with 12" of course, not a big deal to me.
Plenty of people have been putting 305's onto the stock 20x10.5" wheels on M6's. Their measured rim width is 11" with an allowable range of 10.5"-11.5" for Pzero, Pilot Super Sport, Pilot Sport Cup 2 and Proxes T1R. |
