Should I get the M-Performance rear Carbon Spoiler? (Update: installed)
A local BMW dealership still has an Original M-Performance rear spoiler laying around. I can get it from them for only €340,-
I haven't seen any carbon black F06 Gran Coupé with that spoiler mounted and I was wondering if I should get it? Anyone have it and would like to post some pictures? Last edited by PIR3lly; 04-24-2017 at 01:21 PM.. |

had the same problem after doing research I went for this https://directcartoys.com/2012-2017-...p-spoiler.html - the painted one - should arrive in a week or so.. I can post picures when its done, have exactly the same color carbon black - 416. On this car and color combo, IMHO the carbon part looks a little inappropriate, I believe that on white or silver it makes however sense..

Hmm, difficult choice. But 340 euro's for an Original carbon spoiler is a good price.
I did own a carbon black e46 M3 a few years ago, that had a Carbon diffuser. It actually looked pretty good... Last edited by PIR3lly; 03-15-2017 at 09:28 PM.. |

I'd pass. Two reasons:
- I'm not one for adding unnecessary aero parts. The 6 has beautiful, flowing lines, and the addition of this spoiler interrupts those lines. Plus, if I'm honest, I feel these bolt on parts cheapen the look of the car. - If you're going to add a spoiler to a carbon black car, I'd get it in body color. The carbon against carbon black may look like an unintentional mismatch.

I went with a CF V style spoiler on carbon black. I was apprehensive initially as well because I always thought CF only looked good with contrasting colored cars....white, silver. After I installed it, it looked better than I thought especially now with other CF accent pieces. The M performance one is a little less aggressive, I believe. To each their own, I guess.

Well, I might just get it for that price and do a test fit. If I like it, I'll install. If not, sell with profit...
Ndinh, what wheels do you have? They look good. Is it lowered? |

http://avantgardewheels.com/m580.php I'm lowered on H&R's. The drop isn't as low as I'd like (about 1 finger gap) but the ride isn't bad so I can live with it. |

I got this one:
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/F12-...608.0.0.4XdIY0 It's ok but if I were to do it again, I'd spend a little more and buy the 2 piece one below. The only thing about my diffuser is the part that is next to the inner tips do not go that far back so you see a gap between the inner exhaust tips and the diffuser. Not a huge deal but it still bugs me, nonetheless. Fitment was pretty good or as good as any replica chinese product can get, which always needs some diy work. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Carb...3-01ab9a30b27c |

Get it
I went a dealer a while back and got a test fit on my GC. It's a beaut and for the price you can't say no. I know if I was getting it at that price it would be on my car by now This is what it looks like mate

Bought the spoiler because of it's great price.
Did a test fit and really liked it. Now I just have to find some time to install it... Last edited by PIR3lly; 03-25-2017 at 05:27 AM.. |

Well, today I finally got the time to install the spoiler.
I used 3M tape, because I didn't want a permanent install with betalink. After some cleaning and fitting, I attached it to the car. Fitment wasn't perfect (although it was oem BMW), but it worked out. Now let's hope it doesn't blow of the car at 250km/h |
