Default mode?
Hey my 650 gran coupe always starts in comfort mode is there any way to make it start in sport? Even when I switch the next time I turn on it starts in comfort

Nope. Not without coding. It's just part of my routine every time I get in the car: foot on the brake, engine on, switch to Sport, parking brake released.

are you sure? I thought you could code in previous setting to always keep the last setting. not exactly coding sport as default, but will make sport default everytime you last drove in sport

Clicking to Sport+ has become such a routine, I mostly don't even think of it any more. Would be nice if it didn't leave the Sport+ screen for so long, since it overrides the backup camera. But, not a killer.
It is funny when I forget, though, as I half stall and feel like the engine's choking until I realize it and change it. After getting used to Sport+, I can't imagine why anyone would drive in anything else. Of course, with a stick it's different, so your mileage may vary. |

No there is no coding like this by BMW dealership. the only BMW coding is if you want to have Start/Stop function set to the last setting. You have to ask your SA to set up for you and it is free. I ask them several times to set another options like HUD or modes, but they said it is not possible unless you go for aftermarket coding.

I have a '12, and I just keep that screen turned off. I can see it in the cluster, but toggling doesn't change the central display.
