Is 650 GC a beast
The story is like that, one of my buddies has Benz C63 amg and Bmw x6m both. He called me today to have a dinner together tomorrow and wanna have a race with my new car.
I want to know the result before game . Will his c63 amg beat my 650 grancoupe? Or I can catch up with him till certain speed? How about 650 GC and x6m? Thanks a lot.

According to the specs, the X6M and the 650xi will hit 0-60 at the same time, so that should be a very tight competition.
I don't think either of those Bimmers will out do the AMG however, only because of the weight differences between the two Bimmers, versus the Benz. Either way, just stay safe when you guys decide to test those machines out! Please let us know the outcome.

As long as the c63 doesn't have the performance package, it should be a close race with the edge given to the c63. Your gc will rock the x5m on the highway....

Yeah... not sure where you got those numbers. The specs I have read put both the 650xi GC and the X6M hitting 0-60 in under 4.5 seconds. that's without mods. Stock straight off the BMW website

X6M at 4.7s? C64 listed at 4.4s?

Thanks for waiting guys. We have done the comparison, but my bud just drove the x6m because it is his DD. If have chance, we will compare c63 and my GC on this weekend. Hah.
Long story short, we did three run today. 1. 0 to 100km/ hr: I am almost half car length ahead of him. 2. 60 to 140: I am almost a full car length ahead. 3. 20 to 80: again I did almost full car ahead. Both of us are impressed by new ttv8 power. I love my car more and more hah No matter what will be the result with comparison of c63. I have already think 650 ix GC is a true beast. |

Yep. I really did not expect it can beat x6m perfectly. To be honest, I fell in love with ml63 amg and x6m half year ago and I almost went with ml63. However, life always like this, when I went to dealer to do the final maintenance before I sold my x6, I saw the GC in real and after 5 days I placed an order of GC. Now, I convinced it is truly a beast with a luxury looking. Totally satisfy about it after 1 month ownership.
It's time for me to buy some staffs for my baby to make it looks better now. Hah |

Yep, regarding on the drivers, my bud may a better one who is a extreme racing guy had a heavily modified STI and played on tracks hundreds of times. Personally, the win doesn't mean I am a better driver I think the new v8tt with valvetronic really solved lots of turbo lag. That's why 650 GC becomes an rocket. Anyway, it's just my two cents.

Next time, with Xi, do this:
turn off traction control, put the transmission in sport, press the brake with the left foot while reving to bring the engine up to 3,500 rpm and let go of the brake when ready. Non xi: rear tires will just spin. Other note: this is a poor man's launch control, not good on the car components... but if you must win. |
