M6 Competition or M6 GC

Ok, I finally have the cash ready and need to decide. Should I go with an M6 Coupe with Comp. package or a slightly more relaxed M6 GC? I have test driven the Coupe and was more than impressed. However, the rear seats are rather disappointing. How can such a large car have so little space back there? I may need to transport a few extra people on occasion. I am also rather worried that the GC might be too much car, just too big for inner city life. Does anybody have any suggestions/experiences? Thanks.

Buy coupe if you have another larger car. There is no space in the back.
I went for a coupe because I drive alone 99% of a time, but in my opinion comp. package is not worth to pay for.

I had a NON M GC which I loved but I prefer the M6 Coupe in both looks and how it drives...I rarely use the back seat anyway. Id go with the coupe, its my only car

I'll have to disagree with you on that one Karim. The Comp Package addresses the one major gripe most people have had with the new Ms, the weighty disconnected steering. On a non-Comp Package car sport plus steering mode feels like a workout. It also addresses some minor complaints with body roll and suspension. I'd recommend the OP get the comp package on either the Coupe or Gran Coupe.

Still I have problem with the concept of M6 GC and that's why I got Coupe.
I think M6 GC is too big and too heavy as a M car. M6 coupe is heavy and big by itself ,now consider another 4-5 inches longer and 200 lb heavier!
when I got my car, the competition package was not available and if it was, I would definitely get it

Been doing quite a bit of research on both cars and it seems the M6 GC has garnered quite a lot of positive reviews from the press, while the M6 coupe has received mixed reactions. It's strange how Motor Trend absolutely loves the M6 GC but didn't seem to enjoy the M6 Coupe at all. Surely they can't be that different? Same with Top Gear. Is it just due to differing expectations?

Either way you should add the Comp Package. The cars have better dynamics, they feel "more" M

It depends on how you plan to use the car MOST of the time I think. If you do a lot of tracking, take the M6 with comp package. If you only track it 2 times a year or maybe never, but on the other hand you do need to take people in the back once in a while, get the GC. The added comfort of 2 extra doors + the extra room will be worthwile, even if it happens only once a month!
As for it being a large car, so is an M6, in respect to a city car..
For me, and purely subjective, nothing beats an M6 GC. I absolutely adore that car! Such a nice combo of sportyness and class!
Good luck choosing

I've had both and the GC with the comp package is the way to go. The driving dynamics are greatly improved with the comp package. You should get it 100%!

I just traded in my '13 m6 coupe for a '14 M6 GC CP.
I think it was an amazing decision.
I love the drive, elegance, and beauty of the GC.

You cant go wrong with the M6 GC. I've got the M6 GC with Competition Package for 1 month and I absolutely love everything about this car, from the look to the feeling behind the steering wheel.
