Curbed my alloys, possible solutions? Inc. putting 433's on black coupe

Typical, haven't curbed an alloy for years and within 2 weeks of having the M6 I've done the drivers front wheel, twice. The sound makes me shudder.

Im not talking about light grazing here, its pretty nasty. The rims are 343M's and the damage covers about 30% of the wheel, in parts the thin polished edge has been chewed away.

Anyways i guess i have 3 potential options;

1. Get a specialist to try and repair it. How effective is this? i am not convinced by the idea.

2. Buy a new rim. Would i need to go direct to BMW to get another 343M, and how much should i expect to pay? (UK)

3. Buy a new set of 433M's all round. I haven't seen these on a black coupe before, anyone got any thoughts on this or even better an example? As with 2, should i go direct to BMW for these and does anyone know roughly the cost?

any help appreciated.

J

Option 1 is the right one and you will be happy after repair...

Garage List
Buying a new wheel is abit drastic, just find a good specialist and they fix it for a fraction of the cost

that repair is definitely possible, and for a pretty reasonable price i assume. in the states, it'd be roughly $100-150 USD

Lol, the way you're going on I was expecting a split wheel, that's just some curb rash which any wheel centre can sort out for you, for cheap.

not on a wheel like this. wont be that cheap. if you want the exact 100% factory finish, they need to re-cut the face/center with a lathe to give it that diamond cut look and then paint/powder coat the windows and clear everything. ive had to refinish brabus monoblock vi's before and it was expensive because they had to do 3 steps to match the others. op can just have them polish the very outter edge of the wheel. it wont be 100% but you couldn't really tell unless someone is really anal or picky and looking from 2 feet away. or just powder coat all 4 rims black, If op lived in southern California and brought my guy the bare wheels with the tires dismounted, he'd do it for around $100 a wheel.
