before the old configurator site was taken down about 4 days ago (they still had the old one up if you had it bookmarked) it still was listed as a 2017 model year, both the gran coupe and convertible said 2018, so they just haven't updated it yet.

Not all of them but you are right each BMW body has 6-7 years life...
Having said that for example E90 M3 was produced just 4 years (2008-2011) but all E6x M5/M6 and E92/93 had 6 years life cycle

Just 4 years for the saloon, didn't know that.Youll may get 7 years for the F M5/6 as was released first in US.
When you expecting the new M5, can't get a date here, some say late 2017 but think it could me March 18 over in U.K.

Yep and it is still there on various other country sites too. I wonder if BMWUSA can't be bothered bringing them in any more? 640i and 650i Coupes are still listed though.

The coupe is discontinued for 2018; I thought this was old new. They are only making the Grand Coupe and Convertible for MY 2018. I know because I wanted to order a coupe.

Wow really? This is news to me! F13 production is supposed to go thru 6/18!

Looks like you are right... even regular F13 (640 and 650) is disappeared from BMWUSA website!
It's interesting because despite the other models, the F generation of 6 er started with convertible for 2011 model. Couple (F13) was introduced in US in September 2011 as 2012 model. I know that because I placed the order and my car was one of the first F13 650i arrived in OC California...
Now they are going to discontinue Coupe first so we will see the new generation of 6 er Coupe as MY2018 !
