2014 650xi Launch control and square vs staggered

Howdy,

I'm looking at joining the club soon and had a couple newbie questions.

Was looking at getting light weight wheels and Michelin pilot super sports. Car is coming with 19 inch style 351 wheels. Were these square wheels/tires from the factory?

I'm looking at getting a set of Advanti Hy Hybris:

http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/Wheel...e+02%2F28%2F14

Should I be going 19x8.5 all around and same tire size all around?

I just want a good all around ride. No racing or snow.

Should I be concerned about the offset or backspacing on these?

Also, does this car come with launch control or is it that for RWD only?

Thanks!

I know that in 2013 the wheels came in either square or staggered configuration depending on the order. The main advantage of "Square" is that you can rotate the tires to keep them all pretty much the same diameter as they wear. That's important if the car is AWD.

The door jam sticker will tell you if they are square or staggered on the car you are looking at.

I guess I'm just not sure what the offset and backspacing would be best for a square setup. I imagine the same all around but not sure.

I was actually looking through the order guide today and it seems like it was optional to get a square setup, or a staggered. The ordering guide is very confusing.

It also says ordering extended leather cancels merino or something to that nature.

Any idea if these seats are merino champagne or some type of nappa?

"EXCL.LED.NAP.ERW.ELFENBEINW.ELFEN (NAEX)" is what the vin decoder pulled up. It translated to me as Food and Frost, lol.

19x8.5 with 35 mm offset works for all wheels but why? The beauty of 650 is the mix tires. Trust me my first F13 650i (2012 model) had square wheels and was not looking great

2013 with square setup. Looks pretty good to me. If the wheels were "square" I'd agree with you.

So if it's the case, basd on the info you mentioned in this thread, you can set up 4 wheels with the exact part number of fromt wheels (19x8.5 ET 33)
