Initial service - what is done?
I have 1000 miles on my M6 GC. It is showing service in 200 miles.
What is done? Thx

You should have a service book that came with the car that lists what is done at each service, if you did not get one, check with your dealer.
The M-versions, I'm told, use a break-in oil, verses 'normal' stuff in the others...the break-in oil and filter need to be changed, if that's still true. Then, like anything, they check to make sure nothing's loose or leaking, and generally, check out the vehicle. Your service book will detail all that should be done on each service, and is the best resource to answer your question in detail. |

This is referred to as the "Break-in Inspection". As stated above, a simple oil change is involved, and the techs will quickly inspect the car to make sure it is breaking-in properly. Took around 45 minutes in my case.
