Exhaust pipe diameter?

Hi guys, does anyone know what the exhaust pipe diameter size is, 63 or 67mm once you pull off the tailpipes (640d)?

Hi, just measured mine for you, using digital callipers, the outside diameter of the exhaust pipe is 65.3mm (2017 640d GC). Measured from behind the tailpipes.

This obviously differs from either of the diameters you mention - maybe you’re working on inside diameter(?) in which case I’d assume 63mm

Thanks mate, I am guessing the metal is about 3mm thick then. 63mm is the inside of the pipe. Guess they need to be chopped to fit these as they're around 170mm

Did you pull up the exhaust for your model using one of the online part database sites like realoem.com? They list the diameter of the coupler/bushing used to connect the exhaust and mufflers etc.

See #2 when you go to realoem.com and input your VIN and pull up the rear exhaust:
