Exactly , the Akrapovic exhaust has also flaps which are conected to vacum line just like the stock exhuast , when the Rpm goes above 4k ( i think ) the flaps open .

you got a picture of this baby installed yet? On my GC with MPE, the tips looks like it's angled down a bit. I've seen the angle on another car online before, but I've also seen it straighter on coupes and in the press photos.

Is it just an adjustment on the clamps for the tips or what?

Yes its a matter of adjustment .
After i installed the exhaust i adjust my tips 3 or 4 time until they look the way i wanted them .
Its also a matter of taste , just adjust them as you like , its very easy .

Also, I'm pretty sure I have the MPE (not that I'm accusing the dealer I bought the car from for lying that it was installed), but, in your photo of the exhaust laid out before install, it shows the Akrapovic M Performance wording stamped on the muffler canister.

On my canister, it is not stamped on it. However, it's stamped on my tips. Can you confirm the stamp on the canister actually doesn't show on the ground-face side of the canister?

Regardless, I double check the canister style and it has the "3 ribs" that's the hallmark on all Akrapovic mufflers. And it by no way looks like this one (OEM CP exhaust):

Is there any other details I should check to ensure it's the full Akra set of parts? Maybe the cats on the x-pipe having the "3 ribs" as well?

Sorry for bad quallity photos .
Did you do this flapper mod before you installed the Akra? Bc I was able to adjust my tips today, and I saw that the solenoid is way on the outer pipe and nestled against the corner of the bumper. I removed the outer tip and barely could put my hand up on it, let alone string a piece of wire and tie it. Almost seems like you need to unbolt the exhaust and let it hang down and do the mod, or remove the bumper. Any tips?

If you mean the exhuast muffler , so yes it has the M performance logo and the akrapovic logo on it , and it is in the ground face-side .
As in the picture :

Is youre muffler empty ? Doesnt have any logo on it ?

Yes i did it before i install the exhuast ? Its much more easy .
It can be done while the exhuast is already installed but its harder .
i remember i saw a video on youtube showing how to install it on bmw m5 f10 with stock exhaust using stainless hose clamps , its the same as the m6 oem exhuast .

Hmmm, my stamping is not on there, nor does it show signs that wording wore off. All the welds and everything is exactly where it appears in your pics.

I pulled up another photo, on the inner pipe near the solenoid, there should be an Akra pitch fork stamped into it too.

Thanks for this. Looks like it's much easier to access it from the bottom of the car. Yesterday I approached it from the rear as I was too lazy to put it on ramps.

Looks like if you put the car up, you don't even have to take the tips off.

The Akro muffler was available as a "Performance Exhaust" option for an additional $7845.00 (U.S. dollars for 2017 models)...

No, the two are not related. The akra is a dealer/port installed option

I have the 2015 F13 with competition package. My sport exhaust also has black tips. It is safe to assume there are Akra?? The next time the car is on a lift i’ll check it out.

No, the gloss black tips indicates they are the stock competition mufflers which is different than the Akra. Now if you have CF tips, then you may have an Akra. But really, tips don't mean anything. You can put any tip on any exhaust, but most Akra owners either have M Performance tips or the akra carbon fiber tips

Plus you don't need to have car on the lift to look. It'll be pretty obvious when you just stick your head under there. The competition exhaust is a flat aluminium canister with thin pipes. Akra has the wider pipes, titanium finish.

This is the competition exhaust:
