BRAND NEW M6 needing belt tensioner?

Hey Guys, had my M6 for about 2 and a half weeks now, and it has been in service for quite a few things already. Most recently for a high pitched squeaking noise. First they thought it was a loose bracket, that they tightened, but the noise was still there. Now they are saying it is a belt tensioner. Has anyone heard of a 1600 mile car needing a belt tensioner? Is it me or is this a bit ridiculous?

So far the car has been in service for:
-Vibration in the steering wheel (x2)
-4 New tires (Flat spots from sitting on lot for 408 days)
-Re programming (Launch Control would not work after 1200 mile service)
-1200 Mile Service
-Re Programming again to memorize Auto Start/Stop preference
-Passenger Rear Seat Belt twisted
-Rattle from Brakes

The dealer said this regarding the steering wheel vibration:
"Issue is normal. Vehicle has road feel on steering wheel, normal for M6 cars."

Does everyone has a slight vibration in their steering wheel from 80-100mph? My DD, a 13 328i on RUNFLATS! has less vibration than the M6.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

The steering wheel vibration is inherent to the 2013 models. I usually feel it above 80-120. There is a fix and in Europe it was addressed but bmw hasn't really done anything about it in the states. It requires a few parts and it's not an easy fix but it can be done and bmw should fix it. Maybe if we all write or call bmw NA we can get it resolved. What kind of rattle from the brakes??

What is the fix? It is rather annoying as my highway driving is between 80-110. Have you heard of anyone in the states getting this fix done? I have an open case with BMWNA right now for the length of time in service compared to the time its been in my garage.

The rattle noise I was hearing was when I would go over repetitive bumps, like a cobble stone street, and I would hear a metallic ping noise while going over the bumps. This is what they wrote:

"Test deove with foreman. Verified noise, hard to reproduce. Greased pins on brake pads per SIB 34 08 13." They greased the pins and now the noise is gone. For now....

Yeah I had that noise as well. They just had to be adjusted and tightened. Noise never came back. The vibrations in the steering wheel are a design flaw in the steering rack mounts. It's a major change for the 2014's but can be done on the 13's. They did it for the European models on the hush. Have to change out the steering rack mounts and bushings.

Is there a bulletin for this issue?

Not in North America I don't think but BMW is well aware of it.

What should I go to my dealer with? The shaking is really annoying.

Also...

The car is still making the squeaking noise, and the area "rep" is coming Wednesday to listen to it.

Personally I think this car sat on the lot for 408 days, and thats why its having all these issues.

Ok so far we have been able to find 4 revised parts in the steering system and I have had them ordered and installed by my dealer. I have not had a chance to test it at speed yet but will post soon. There doesn't seem to be a difference in the mount points because that would require a new front subframe and there is no mention or this from 2013 to 2014. I was able to get my service manager to call BMW NA and get the parts authorized. Will post an update soon

Yes will post info soon. The new parts seemed to have removed most if not all of the steering vibration. In addition had the competition roll bars installed as well and overall seems tighter steering with stronger return to center feel. Basically the steering gives a little more feel along with a sense of sharper control
