M6 GC or RS7?

So, what would you pick? I know, we are a bit biased on this forum but hey, it's still an interesting question imo

M6 for me, all day everyday.

M6GC all the way. Its faster too. Look at the 60-130 times etc. If it wasn't for traction issues the only reason why RS7 faster 0-60....I repeatedly smoked an RS7 at highway speeds. Plus looks like a cockroach and is nose heavy pushes into corners etc...No comparison IMO

even though the CLS 63 is a bit faster, it's seriously uglier than it's ever been.
I seriously hate mercedes' direction in style. M6 GC wins with the best balance of performance, style and even comfort.

The RS7 was a finalist for me against the M6GC.

The RS7 has all wheel drive, an ECU based tune and was less expensive (my car had a 115k price).

The M6GC has better looks inside and out (subjective), had a 5th seat belt (good for emergency kid situations) , I have a preference for rear wheel drive (except for in rain) and I liked the handling better (I only drove the air suspension version of the RS7)

I wound up getting 10k off of a 130k sticker on the M6 so I was very happy.

LOL. I don't understand why people call these fast cars "PIG"
This is exactly the way M3/M4 forum guys name M5/M6
I personally take any BMW over any AUDI in the same class (except R8), but as I said all of these cars are crazy fast and powerful.
Pig is not fast

Look at the result of this test at 1:11
You can't call RS6 (or RS7) pig!

Or this RS7 vs E63 AMG S

Or this RS7 vs M6 GC

Everything else aside, the M6 GC is the more "exclusive" car. You just won't see as many 6's (including non M's) as you will A7's S7's, RS7's and all of the CLS iterations.

That alone helps my decisions.... oh and a plastic dash at $115k hurts the Audi as well, but their interiors are superior!

the M6 without full leather has vinyl dash too, but the interior design on the M6 is so much more elegant than the RS7.

Go with the M6GC. Less weight on the front axle. 2WD is much more fun than 4WD.

There are going be trade-offs for each of these cars. I personally think this much power and torque in a large, front-engine car is simply too much for RWD to effectively get to the ground.

I own a tuned Audi S6 which has as much power and more torque than a stock M6 or RS7. I can just hammer the car in all conditions and driving situations, even with the stability full off, and the car just grips and goes like stink. The trade off, of course, is in the steering responsiveness which is much superior with RWD. Still, these are big luxocruisers, not agile track and back road burners, so the steering responsiveness becomes less of an issue.

For a small, more sporty car, give me RWD and a normally aspirated motor. For a big powerhouse turbo motor, I will take AWD.

Styling is subjective, but the M6 is far prettier on the outside than the RS7. RS7 interior, IMO is nicer.

Just my $0.02

Based on the looks, interior, fit and finish there's no denying that m6GC is better, and it has the amazing DCT transmission, however the fact that it's 4 wheel drive and the power is more usable on the streets is kind of what I like about rs7 and the fact that it's easily tuned, can't comment on the handling and driving quality since I haven't driven the Audi. I say test drive both.

Audi RS7 interior is nicer than M6 gran coupe ???? You must be kidding me, it's not even on the same level ! I agree with you on the AWD part though.

M6 GC is a machine and offers more than the RS7. Trade off here and there but a little seat time should point you towards the GC.

True, but it is a separate skin that is stitched even if it isn't real leather. The Audi is hard plastic. In looks, there is no comparison in my mind. The full leather with contrast stitching just takes it to a whole different level. JMO

Beyond that... the fact that there just aren't as many 6's is what I like.

Styling is always subjective. There are those who think a GTR is good looking also. I do agree that the full leather dash has a richer look, but in terms of the seat design, steering wheel design, more extensive use of CF and the basic red/black/white graphic color schemes, I prefer the Audi. We are splitting hairs here, however.

From the exterior, however....no comparison. The RS7 looks clumsy and odd. The M6 GC is one of the hottest looking 4-doors on the road IMO.
