6 GC re-trim

Hi,

Just changed my 6 GC for a 6 GC LCI.

Nearly got the spec I wanted bar the trim so have wrapped it in black carbon fibre and put black mats in to darken it down a inside as I hadn't realised how white it is in there if you go for ivory leather.

any thoughts?

Did you remove the trim to wrap it? How much work was that?

It would be easier to remove the trim. You can do it without removing the trim, but you'll need a precision knife (exacto knife) to trim the material at the edges and fold it in.

Youtube has a lot of videos of the procedures for both method. You'll see removing the trim will be the easiest. You can buy a trim removal kit (plastic wedge pieces) for $20 on amazon

Hi

The trim under the screen just digs out with trim removal tools. To the right of the steering wheel there's a screw after you pull the plastic side cover off.

The doors and the middle consol were harder to get off but i just followed what i found in here:
