BMW M6 F06 Tuning Suggestion

Hi guys, I currently have the following setup:

CP 575hp Model
Akrapovic Evolution Exhaust
GruppeM Intake

I am considering a stage 2 tune and I have seen many cool videos by PP Performance, but a friend also recommended GPower.

Anyone have any suggestions?

We are the North American tuner for PP-Performance. I will not try to sell you on their tune as a vendor but if you decide to move forward then please let me know and I will take great care of you.

For ECU tune, is it a flush tune or OBDII?

I can chime in about PP-Performance, which I got about a month ago through Golan AutoTalent .
I have the Fabworx catless DPs and Turner muffler bypass.
The tune is quite reliable and feels smooth in power delivery.
When I go WOT, it sometimes feels scary because I feel so much G-Force. I think I have around 710+ HP. I need to get a proper dyno.

Your car gave me a heart attack when I test drove it after we loaded the tune. Come by whenever and i'll dyno for you. Dyno is included with your tune

Had never heard of gpower as an option. How does it compare to JB4 w/BCM? Is gpower really 4100 euros?!

Were your ECU's drilled or did they get opened up for the tuning ?
I am interested in knowing the HP and TQ gains as well.
Please post up after you dyno

Flash tunes are completely different then BMS JB4 setups.

The easiest way to explain the difference is that the JB4's are really a tool for the end user to dial in performance a specific way.
If you are not into making adjustments yourself, then flash tune is your best option.

We did not drill the ECU. It was opened for the flash.

Perfect.
I do not like the idea of ECU's being drilled.
I'll be giving you a call in a day or 2 for some information.
I have a client interested in PP tune for his F10 M5

I thought gpower was a plug & play?

Well... here is my thing with an ECU flash tune; the BMW dealer will void warranty for the entire car here if I were to go with an ECU flash tune...

How about you guys that did the ECU flash tune?

All of the cars we have flashed still have their warranty valid. Depends on your dealer relationship.

How is that possible?

When you take the car to BMW for service, the BMW service computer will pickup the ECU flash tune data and automatically send this info to BMW Germany and it will be permanently attached to the VIN.

When you try to claim warranty in the future, the dealership sends a request to BMW Germany and this is when they decline it because a modification is done to the ECU

There will be possibilities that an OBD tune will also raise an alarm. Therefore, stability and track record is really important for me when considering an ECU tune. The last thing that I want to see is a messed up engine / transmission.

So, for PP Performance, what problems may I expect to see? Like for those that had installed the PP Performance Stage 2 tune for over 1~1.5 year, what problems have occurred and how severe were they?

On PP Performance's site, they do offer a warranty to the engine and power train, how does it work and cost?

GPower on the other hand have a longer history in BMW tuning than PP Performance, so maybe more stable?
