Windows Fail to Index

Hey All,

I'm having several issues with my windows properly indexing after putting up the top on my 2013 M6 Convertible. For example, about 50% of the time when I get the top all the way up and the chime that the process is complete there will inevitably be one window which is only half way up. Most of the time this is the small passenger windows. This is not corrected by holding the convertible top button longer.

Then yesterday the driver's window would fail to recall the closed position after I put it down. A full pull up on the button would send the window up, stop halfway, and go back down all on its own...

Any suggestions? or anyone else with this problem?

window

I have had this problem and I would roll the window all the way up or all the way down and hold the switch for 10 seconds or so and that fixed it. Has not happened very frequently so I am not sure which way up or down. good luck

Yeah i think that is how you reset the windows. Hold the switch down for 10sec and all the up for 10 sec

Thanks folks, I did find that this is a temporary fix to the problem. I'm hoping this does not become an everyday occurrence...

Yeah! I had the same problem last week ... They said the Windows had to be just reset interms of the control units ... Took them less then a minute at my change and Dinan install visit last week.

The other issue was clicking of front suspension ... BMW has a bulletin out for this and parts are on order and it is a warranty issue

Same issue here on my 13 M6GC, they told me it happens when the window motor is going bad. They are going to replace it next service appt.
