I saw one in person as well. New Century BMW.

I convinced my friends there to pull the car indoors LOL.

So both cars are one out of a hundred(1/100) being produced?
I think this comp package is more 5k than 51k in price. They're really charging more for it being limited.

I agree, stripes are gaudy. But they add tremendous value at these price levels. And if you don't like them, you can always take them off and put them on eBay to recoup some money from your purchase. I'm sure 625i owners will gobble these up and pay a premium for them (like at least $30!!!). Think about it. BMW knows what they're doing.

I believe that BMW felt the need to have this Competition Package to match the introduction of the car in GT and GTLM racing series. From a business perspective, it makes sense. I just wish that they had a better result at the 24 hour race.
$167k gets you an Akrapovich exhaust, increased HP, alcantara steering wheel, a few more carbon parts, CCB's and the prestige of getting 1 of the 100 produced world wide. May not be for everyone but someone will find value in the car. Isn't a fully loaded M6 around $130k anyway?

**yes, the stickers are a bit over the top IMO

To most people this will just be a M6.

Personally i would rather get a R8. msrp is very similar if you don't go nuts with the options.

Hmm... Knew about the M3/M4 switch due to talking with the instructors at 2 Day M School but didn't know about the M5/M6 switch.

Had a set of Pirelli's once and they were rubbish.

Are you sure the wheel is alcantara? (I didn't have time to read the specs). Looks like a FAT leather wheel with blue stripe and contrast spaced white stitching, and a big carbon fiber insert!

I really freaking love the wheel!!

Sorry if this has been said... So they all say 1/100? That is incredibly misleading! It meant to communicate that it is 1 of 100 ever made but many would interpret it to be the FIRST of 100.

Also, Austin yellow looks horrible imo on the 6.

Cool interior tho!

Clearly you've never driven the 707hp Hellcat in a "Competitive" driving environment. It might as well have 380hp because that's all you're getting in traction on the track. Drove that piece of sh!t at Willow Springs last year and you can't even use half of the accelerator pedal. HUGE FAIL of a car...all hype and handles like mid 90s American TRASH.

"Competition edition"

Just a decked out M6 with a slight boost and paint job. Reminds me of the 50 different M3 special editions BMW released last gen. I get that it's celebrating their new M6 race car, but meh. Can't they build an M6 GTS?

I prefer my 2002 C5 Z06 Vette that has almost 200HP deficit with the same 0-60 and a stick. Wider tires on mine, more lateral grip, and at least as good 6 pot AP Racing brake setup I have on it. ~3200lbs
