My M6 Gran Coupe was built yesterday

Hi All !

My first ever brand new car, although I was very high up on the UK waiting list after putting a deposit down an F10 M5 way back in 2010, but in the end did not have the courage to go through with it.

Anyway this time around it was not a well thought out or planned purchase, more like woke up a couple of weeks ago and said I want a new car. I was actually trying to order an F10 M5 but then thought, hey what about the M6 Gran Coupe and here is the result :

Congratulations! I'm just getting used to mine here at home, and it's fantastic. Different blue, same idea. I have a few more days on the summers here in Chicago before I get winter tires put on.

I ordered from Cooper Thames Ditton.

Essentially they got me the best deal available to my knowledge.

I think I'll keep it stock ...for a while.

A bit concerned about the factory Warranty over here in the UK. I get the impression they are far stricter over here than in the US.

Also I have a heavily modified E39 M5 pushing out well over 600 HP that scratches the modding itch................for the moment

I am flying to travel around South America on the 5th December and knowing my luck my car will arrive on the 6th....

I'll be back on the 23rd though and will get my girlfriend to take some photos as I am totally rubbish with a camera

Yes I figure they are great cars indeed.

I was going to go with a different blue and an individual interior but it heavily delayed the delivery date and I was in no mood to be waiting too long

Hey! Me too, not London though. I'm in the Midlands and the car is ordered via an Edinburgh dealership.

M6GC is due fin at the dealership in the next week or two. San Marino blue / aragon brown.

I'm not picking it up til 19th December though as my E63 AMG doesn't go back till the 21st Dec.

Can't wait, the E63 is sitting unwashed & rejected on the drive

San Marino blue with aragon brown merino. Gone a bit ott on the colours!

The e63 is a great car, but it shows its age in the interior and exterior. Nice engine but too much "muscle car" rumble for me. Terrible slow gearbox ruins it.
